In the stage of primary school English learning,it is very necessary for teachers to pay attention to students’ concentration,and it is also an important way to improve the effectiveness of English classes.Based on the relevant existing research,the present study focuses on "Concentration in English Classes of Third-grade Primary School Students",analyzes the current situation and the causes behind,and proposes improving strategies,aiming to enrich the practical significance of theoretical knowledge of concentration.Taking the third-grade students of primary school as the research object,the study makes a survey of their concentration in English class and explores the factors that affect their concentration in class from the aspects of teacher,students and environment.Through classroom observation,questionnaire survey,interviews and other methods to conduct field research,the research finds that students do have behaviors like "absence of mind","talking with surrounding classmates","doing other subjects’ homework",etc.As far as the influencing factors are concerned,the influence of English teachers is very critical.It affects students’ English class concentration in terms of class introduction,teaching content design,classroom assessment and classroom management capabilities.Students themselves are also significant factors from physiological and psychological aspects.Besides,the environment inside and outside the classroom will also interfere with students’ English class concentration.Accordingly the study proposes improving strategies to help the students improve their English class concentration from the perspectives of teachers,students,and the environment.
