| This thesis selects representative "controversial topics" including "modern dance with ethnic costumes","milk tea vs.cola",and "doubts about plastic surgery hospitals" of the 5th to 13 th Chinese Dance "Lotus Award" Ethnic Folk Dance Competition.Through the morphology analysis of relevant works,this thesis reckons that the essence of the three controversies lies in: the individual artistic exploration of choreographers and the cultural inheritance of dance genres;and the singularity of dance works and the diversity of aesthetic values.Although the content and objects of the "controversial topics" are different,they all refer to the core academic propositions of Chinese ethnic folk dance in cultural,creation,and aesthetic dimensions.Facing Chinese and Western cultural clashes,ethnic folk dance must adhere to the traditional bottom line,use breathing and rhythm as important morphological constraints,and take ethnic spirit and cultural commonality as the foundation of creation;facing aesthetic changes,the creation of ethnic folk dance must eliminate homogenization and combination,and lead the competition and promote development with a distinct sense of innovation and era consciousness;facing the beauty and ugliness of ethnic folk dance,on the one hand,it must have a lofty cultural character,and on the other hand,it must also meet the aesthetic pursue of the general public,appealing to both cultured and popular tastes with diverse development of culture.Through discussing and reflecting on academic propositions and creation status,this thesis concludes that the occurrence of "controversial topics" is brought by the cognitive concepts of both sides being mismatched in different dimensions.Both creators and recipients should embrace "controversies" with a more inclusive and open attitude,timely update and adjust the relatively stable evaluation system and creative thinking to fit the flexible and rapidly changing styles and developments of ethnic folk dance. |
