This paper is a report on E-C simultaneous interpretation. The task was completed by the author at the 19th Sino-Japanese International Seminar held at Ningxia University on April 28th in 2022.The author summarizes the difficulties encountered in the interpretation process and the coping strategies from the three stages of the interpretive theory. In the comprehension stage,a large amount of terms and the speaker’s accent cause the interpreter to spend more energy listening to and analyzing the source language, which has an impact on the efficiency and quality of the interpreter’s language output. In the deverbalization stage, the interpreter needs to analyze the ambiguous expressions and convert them into content that the audience can better understand. In the reformulation stage, since it is inevitable to lose information in simultaneous interpretation, the interpreter needs to find an appropriate way to ensure information completeness and accuracy. The main content of the report includes task description, theoretical framework, case analysis and conclusion. The first chapter describes the task including its background, features and process. In the second chapter, the author introduces the research status of the interpretive theory and its three stages at home and abroad.Besides, the author summarizes the research significance of this thesis. The third chapter is case analysis. The author describes the difficulties encountered in the interpretation process in detail, and explores strategies for coping with these difficulties such as adequate preparation, reasonable complements according to the material, and appropriate information reconstruction. The fourth chapter is conclusion. The author summarizes the interpretation practice and gives suggestions in the hope of providing help for interpretation practice.
