A Lexical Survey Of Linshui Dialect In Sichuan And A Comparative Study On The Lexical Features Of Chengdu-Chongqing And Luzhou Regions

The study of dialect vocabulary plays an important role in presenting the characteristics of local dialects and enriching Chinese language and culture.Nowadays,the research results of Southwest Chinese Mandarin dialects are very rich,and great achievements have been made in dialect phonology,dialect vocabulary and dialect grammar,such as the publication of dialect vocabulary,dialect dictionary and dialect annals,the comparative study of dialect vocabulary and the extraction of dialect feature words,etc.However,no monographs have systematically sorted out and studied the vocabulary of Linshui dialect.In order to fill the gap in the study of the vocabulary of Linshui dialect,this paper will study the lexical features of Linshui dialect.This paper mainly adopts the relevant theoretical knowledge and practical methods of Chinese lexicology,Chinese dialect-ology and experimental phonetics,takes the lexicon of Linshui dialect in the synchronic phonetic system as the research object,and summarizes and analyzes the phonetic system and lexical features of Linshui dialect on the basis of field investigation of dialects.On this basis,the paper makes a simultaneous comparison with the dialect words of Chengdu,Chongqing and Luzhou,and compares the similarities and differences of the lexical features of Linshui,Chengdu,Chongqing and Luzhou,so as to explore the lexical features of Linshui dialect.This paper is divided into six parts: the first part is the introduction,summarizing the survey and research of Linshui dialect,introduces the geographical location,the evolution of the system and the population of Linshui County,and explains the basic situation of the field survey of dialect.The second part is the study of the differences in the phonology of Linshui dialect.Through the investigation of dialects and sorting out the phonology of dialects,it is found that Linshui County has the difference between the phonology of"East trough dialect"and"West trough dialect".Therefore,the main content of this chapter is to describe the two phonological systems in Linshui and compare the phonological systems in Linshui dialect.The third part is to explore the word formation and sound change characteristics of Linshui dialect words by comparing the dialect words of Linshui,Chengdu,Chongqing and Luzhou.Firstly,the chapter compares the characteristics of polysyllabic affixes and trisyllabic overlapping words in four dialects.Secondly,it compares the differences in the use of modal words at the end of sentences in Linshui,Chongqing and Luzhou.Finally,it compares the phonological changes of polysyllabic words in Linshui,Chongqing and Luzhou dialects,which can be divided into two aspects:flow phonological changes and rhotic phonological changes.The fourth part discusses the relationship between Linshui and the historical formation and lexical features of Chengdu,Chongqing and Luzhou dialects,and to explore the relationship between Linshui dialect’s internal phonology and Nanlu dialect and Huguang dialect.The fifth part is an investigation of the characters of Linshui dialect words,which is supplemented on the basis of previous interpretations.Therefore,the main purpose of this chapter is to review the ancient history of Linshui dialect vocabulary on the one hand,and to clarify the original characters of the words with sounds and no characters in Linshui dialect vocabulary on the other hand.The sixth part is the conclusion.
