The junior high school students entering puberty are in the period of physical growth and development, and the obvious changes in their physiology make them have a deeper feeling of "beauty".Adolescence is also a fragile period for the germination of self-consciousness.Junior high school students often need to rely on others’ opinions and evaluation to construct their own identity, and integrate others’ evaluation into their self-cognition to improve their inner description of their identity.Junior high school students will also get a lot of suggestions from the outside world to evaluate themselves, which aggravates the turmoil of junior high school students’ self-consciousness.Due to the lack of a relatively perfect self-cognition and the ability to distinguish right from wrong, junior high school students are easy to be misled by the surrounding environment and produce impulsive and blindly following behaviors.Body image,as a kind of self-cognition of the body,is also very susceptible to influence at this stage.Negative body image may make individuals feel humiliated and affect their interpersonal communication, and may also make junior high school students take compensatory behaviors after dieting or overeating.Research shows that abnormal eating behavior occurs most often during the teenage years, and a significant number of teenagers will maintain their weight by restricting their diet excessively. When junior high school students face academic pressure and impulsivity characteristic of adolescence, unconsciously ruminating negative body image will increase the possibility of bad eating behavior, and make them maintain a restrictive eating state or emotional eating state, which will affect their physical and mental healthy development, normal learning and life as well as important social functionsOn the basis of previous studies, rumination is included as a moderating variable to test whether it has a moderating effect between body image and intuitive eating. In the research process,SPSS26.0 version was used to conduct reliability and validity test, exploratory factor analysis, common method bias test, descriptive analysis, independent sample t test, variance analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis on the collected data to verify the moderating effect, and the following research results were obtained:(1)There are significant differences in demographic variables of body image, rumination and intuitive eating among junior middle school students.(2)There is a significant correlation between body image, rumination and intuitive eating in junior middle school students.(3)Obesity anxiety could significantly positively predict intuitive eating, explaining 32.6% of the variation in intuitive eating.(4)Rumination could significantly reverse predict intuitive eating, and accounted for 66.1% of the variation in intuitive eating.(5)Rumination plays a significant role in regulating the relationship between body image and intuitive eating in junior middle school students.According to the research results, this study aims at the rumination thought that may occur in the process of education and teaching of junior high school students, and proposes the following intervention methods:(1)Conduct mindfulness meditation training for junior high school students with unreasonable beliefs, help them consciously control attention supervision of another information processing mode or cognitive mode, reduce self-criticism,accept their own body, and enjoy the eating process.(2)Conduct behavior activation training for junior high school students with weak action motivation, arrange activities with a sense of pleasure and control to improve individual self-efficacy,adopt a more active and healthy way to maintain body shape, and break the cycle of habitual rumination.(3)Conduct interpersonal training for junior high school students with poor social skills to help them change their subjective and one-sided cognition in interpersonal communication, relieve rumination caused by interpersonal conflicts, enhance their happiness in life and study, improve their appreciation of themselves, and reduce the possibility of bad eating behaviors.(4)Conduct problem decision-making training for junior middle school students lacking life experience, help them achieve established goals and expectations through practical actions, correctly attribute failure, reduce their time and energy consumption in psychological activities,so as to have an objective, correct self-recognition and healthy diet.(5)Conduct imaginative exposure training for junior high school students troubled by depressive emotions to help them reinterpret anxious events,so as to change their anxiety symptoms and rumination. In addition,by exposing their own existing problems,we can construct objective and positive body image, thus reducing the possibility of bad eating behaviors.
