Tongzhi wedding porcelain is a stunning glimpse in the history of the development of ceramics in the late Qing Dynasty.The variety,shape and color of the wedding porcelain are magnificent,reflecting special cultural and emotional values.The essence of Empathy is the ability to feel and understand other people’s emotions,and it has characteristics that are not limited by time and space.With "Empathy" as the guiding principle,analyzing and innovating the research path of "Empathy" in design from the research perspective of design,condense into Three levels of "Explicit interpretation,Cultural identity,Story deduction",and guide the study of design concepts of emperor’s wedding ceramics:The Appearance,Cultural Connotation,The story conveyed by the designs of the Ceramics.And get useful inspiration.(1)Explicit interpretation:The research on the appearance of imperial ceramics for wedding begins with "shape,pattern and color".The "shape" is discussed from two aspects of shape and practicality,and it is concluded that the shape of the wedding porcelain adheres to the creation concept of "things for human use" and "follow the origin";The analysis of the "pattern" explores the category,combination,layout and style of the patterns and colors layer by layer,and obtains the category beauty of "all-embracing",the combination beauty of"well-ordered",the layout beauty of "adhering to the principle",and the style beauty of "matching the sky";The analysis of "color" is from the two aspects of the background color and color matching of the wedding porcelain.The background color of the big wedding porcelain,yellow,red and white,is"beautiful and clean".The color matching follows the principle of "color according to the category",and is dominated by the aesthetic will of the individual color.(2)Cultural identity:Through the analysis of the cultural factors behind the externalized representation of the emperor’s wedding porcelain,it is concluded that the design of the wedding porcelain is mainly based on:to achieve the political purpose of manifesting the national power and following the etiquette and music system;Select and integrate the Jiyan culture,western painting art and Tibetan Buddhism;The reflection and matching with the aesthetic and architectural styles of the ruling class are dominated by the "invisible" and"realistic" factors such as craftsman technology,in order to maintain the feudal rule of the Qing Dynasty,the etiquette system and the law,and highlight the personal aesthetic style.Achieving a unified sense of cultural identity is not only the elimination of doubts about the form,pattern and color of the wedding porcelain,but also the necessary premise for interpreting the story behind the"narrative on the porcelain" of the various colors of the wedding porcelain.(3)Story interpretation:Deconstruct and interpret each pattern and understand the story of the pattern.The elements used in the design and color of the wedding porcelain are all taken from the auspicious patterns related to"happiness,longevity and happiness",and they are combined with each other,which is the clear embodiment of the "standing image to make the best use of the meaning" by the design and color of the body.It reflects the rulers’ ardent expectations for good luck,happiness,longevity,a better life,and the prosperity and complete peace of the country for thousands of generations.It is not only the manifestation of the ruler’s deep desire and aesthetic interest,but also the embodiment of the pursuit of national cultural beliefs,which contains rich human feelings.Whether it is design details or macro-ideas,the points mentioned in the three levels above constitute the design concept of the imperial wedding ceramics.It is helpful to elucidate the influence of traditional culture,enhance the sense of cultural identity and national pride,and bring the ancient Chinese culture to life in the present and future.And get two enlightenments from its design concept,which are "practical,aesthetic and cultural connotation" and"blending the beauty of scene philosophy",to enable the design of modern wedding supplies.
