Anthropological Interpretation Of The Wedding Ceremony Of The Hui Nationality In Contemporary Cities

In anthropology,marriage is regarded as an institutional culture,while marriage and marriage ceremony are regarded by muslims as a "holy act" in their life.The hui wedding ceremony is a ritualistic culture with hui characteristics centered on the ceremony,which is also a universal social and cultural phenomenon accompanied by the development of the hui nationality.It is reflected in the engagement ceremony,marriage ceremony and hui gate ceremony to different degrees,and its expression form and carrying significance also have their own particularity.Urban hui wedding ceremony not only carries a long cultural memory,but also reflects distinct national and local characteristics.Therefore,the study of urban hui wedding ceremony can help people to have a comprehensive understanding of hui wedding ceremony in contemporary urban minority areas,and at the same time contribute to the understanding and understanding of hui traditional culture,values and behaviors.Taking the hui community in beiliang,baotou city as an example,from the perspective of anthropology,this paper systematically expounds and analyzes the phenomenon of hui wedding ceremony in contemporary cities by combining fieldwork and literature research.The main content of this paper includes introduction,three chapters and conclusion.Thefirst chapter introduces the hui community in beiliang,baotou city and the changes of hui wedding ceremony,and summarizes the formation,basic situation and changes of wedding ceremony of the hui community in beiliang,baotou city.The second chapter,from the perspective of symbolic anthropology,describes in detail the different rites and symbols of the hui people's wedding ceremony in beiliang,baotou,at the beginning,during the high tide,during the wedding ceremony,and at the end of the wedding ceremony,during the hui ceremony,and then analyzes and summarizes the characteristics of the wedding ceremony.The third chapter in the city hui wedding ethnographic deep description,on the basis of using the anthropological interpretation and the theory of structural functionalism,the urban hui wedding ceremony in-depth discussion and analysis,so as to reveal the city of islamic culture embodied by the hui wedding ceremony of constraints,the penetration of Confucian culture,regional culture,and on the part of the urban cultural characteristics.At the same time,this chapter also analyzes the functions of urban hui wedding ceremony from the aspects of the establishment of the new couple's social identity,mutual assistance and property transfer,inheritance and performance of traditional culture,construction of social relations and enhancement of group identity.The conclusion summarizes the research ideas of this paper and puts forward the author's main points of view:First of all,the wedding ceremony is an important life etiquette in the social life of the urban hui community.The local people have endowed it with rich cultural connotation,which reflects the traditional culture,values and behavior patterns of the hui community.Secondly,the overall study of the urban hui wedding ceremony can not only fully understand the formation of the hui community in beiliang,baotou,and the change of the wedding ceremony,the symbol and characteristics of the wedding ceremony,the function and cultural connotation of the wedding ceremony,but also enhance the understanding of its social and cultural significance.Finally,urban hui wedding ceremony,a special form with distinctive national characteristics,local characteristics and carrying significance,can be developed to this day,which is not only the crystallization of national wisdom and creativity,but also the embodiment of national consciousness.In contemporary society,urban hui wedding ceremony on the basis of development,but also focus on the integration of islamic culture,Confucian culture,regional culture and urban culture and other multicultural communication and integration of the belief system.All kinds of cultures present each other alternately and without conflict in the wedding ceremony,performing the various contents of the wedding together,and providing some reference for the protection,inheritance and promotion of the traditional national culture.
