The genre of Travel Records first appeared in the Han era andthen reached its peak during the Song dynasty. It expanded during the Qingdynasty and resulted in numerous masterpieces. The number of Bashutravelogues from the Qing dynasty was likewise incredibly high among them.Travelogue authors described the scenery they encountered, the rise and fall ofmonuments, the vibrant folkways, the diversity of goods, and the length of theroutes. The authors also frequently intersperse their lengthy excursions to thehighlands and the monuments they visit with their own poems, forging a deep bond and enhancing each other’s work.I discovered that there are sixmanuscripts, totaling 432 poems, that were self-penned in the diaries of the Qingera after looking through them. This presentation will focus on the poetry foundin these six texts. The rest of the journals contain only one or two poems,or poems by others, and these are excluded from the study. The authors of six Qing dynasty travelogues of Bashu travelled along certainroutes when entering, leaving and moving around the region, including the ShuRoad, the Three Gorges Road and the Chengdu-Longchang Water Road, the Chengdu-Qianwei Water Road and the Xiaochuan North Road. The authordescribes the natural landscape,well-known landmarks, ancestral halls andtemples, and rural scenery while on his lengthy excursions, illuminating thedistinctive scenery along the highways of Bashu. This article examines the qualities of the poetry in the journals using a studyof the poems’ content as a foundation. The travelogue poets of the Qing dynastyprimarily used the near poetic style, with some old poetry thrown in for goodmeasure. In order to create poems and songs in the ancient style that were comprehensive and original, the authors of the journeys had to endure a long andarduous life in the natural environment as well as the occasionally tumultuous local situation. As a result, poems in the modern style became their preferredchoice.Second, the poems included in the six types of Qing period Bashu TravelRecords are primarily given through the poem titles and poem annotations andare strongly narrative in nature.Last but not least, the region’s choice of poetic imagery is distinct and is split into natural and humanistic imagery. The poems found in the six Qing dynasty records of Bashu are found to haveserved the function of retelling, filling in,and expressing emotion in the records, working closely with the prose to form the complete records, according to the study of the poems found in the six types of Qing dynasty Bashu lineagedescribed above. The poems in the six Qing dynasty Bashu journals also havesome historical and geographic relevance,as shown by the analysis anddocumentation of trade routes, topographical features, customs, and goods, among other things.
