Su Shi's Poetic Records of Journey, also known as Traveling Poem, can be divided into broad and narrow meanings: broad sense poems refer to all the poems mainly describing travels, including travels on the way;narrow sense poems refer only to poems describing the travels, excluding travels, singing and writing. In his collection of poems and his way of intercourse, nearly 760 poems can be written in a broad sense, accounting for nearly one third of Su's poems. The breadth and depth of these poems basically reflect all aspects of the public and private travel life of the scholar-bureaucrats in the Song Dynasty, and have typical significance in synchronicity and diachrony. The characteristics of these poems are that in a certain period of time, they reflect the continuity of time and space, and often highlight the poet's "pedestrian" identity in comparison with "resident".This paper takes Su Shi's generalized epic poems as the research object. The first chapter reviews the Su Shi poems from the background, causes, staging, and comparison of the famous song dynasty literati travels. In Song Dynasty,scholar-officials became the main body of politics and culture.Under the background of the contradiction between "Yuan" and "Que",the phenomenon of shortening the term of office and dissatisfaction of the local officials in the regular tune has become normal. At the same time, the development of land and water transportation and the improvement of its management system centered on BianJing have also facilitated the travel of literati and officialdom. In addition, the post was separated from the courier, the minister, the magistrate, the official and the doctor were on strike, the private and private adversaries flourished, and the monastery also opened a waiting room.Su Shi spent his whole life "traveling ten thousand miles and half of the world",bounded by two visits to BianJing and two relegations. His travels can also be divided into seven periods: southward journey,FengXiang,on the way to HangZhou, official travel in HangZhou, official tour to the southeast of the country, relegate and left HuangZhou, relegate to the south and back to the north. In addition to the mountains and rivers, thecreation of the poems of the travels has an influence on the genre and rhyme.Compared with Ouyang Xiu,Wang Anshi,Hong Mai,Lu You and Fan Chengda,Su Shi experienced more places and poems in his life. The second chapter is divided into three parts to study the types and contents of the travel process.Firstly, the differences between land travel and water travel are analyzed. In addition to introducing the phenology, diet and customs during the journey, the emphasis is placed on discussing the "crossing ridges" in land travel and the "crossing Huai River" in water travel.Dayuling and Huai River represent Su Shi's relegation and official career respectively.Secondly, the phenomenon of early and night travel in the journey is studied.Because of the particularity of time, the trigger given to poets is also different, and the scene of twilight and dusk is different. The description highlights the poet's physical merits and specific mood. Finally, through the analysis of the time particularity of travel at the age,the author explores the impact of travel on the poet in the season of the age,and thus forms a profound memory. The third chapter mainly discusses the narrative nature of epic poems and the art of characterization.Narration and scenery are the meanings of epic poems. In addition to the recording of specific events in the poem, narrative function is also provided by the poem title,self-note,quotation and preface. In addition,it is particularly noticeable that the use of group poems reflects the self-settling process of the poet's mood in addition to the continuous narration. The images of old people and monks in the traveling poems often reflect the poet's self. The description of other figures, such as scholars, businessmen, citizens and barbarians, shows the poet's mood.In addition, the image of Su Shi in his travels(in the eyes of others,self-image)often has special significance, and has continuity with the self-image of poets before and after a journey.Furthermore, the memory and influence of travel, involving the significance of travel to individuals, literary history and cultural history. There are two aspects: one is the memory and imagination of travel in Su Shi's poems(the memory of past traveland the imagination of the coming place are mostly found in Su Shi's poems),the trigger of recall is due to overweight of a place,or because of people and things;the other is the collective memory formed by his travel activities, where Su Shi's travels journey is rewarded with the host(follow his original rhyme, follow the rhyme of others),the time and future generations.Continue the elegance of the former sages,or recite with the same title,or sing in sub-rhyme,so that their pursuit of the former sages has a literary meaning.Su Shi's traveling activities also have long-term social and cultural significance through his disciplined poems and other people's reward and admiration activities.Through the above research,we can have a more in-depth understanding of Su Shi's travel and the creation of traveling poems. From this point of view, the public and private travels of scholars and officials in the Song Dynasty can provide more rich and vivid details than historical materials.
