With the improvement of China's comprehensive strength and international status,more and more foreigners begin to learn Chinese.“Speaking”is a particularly important skill among the four skills of listening,speaking,reading and writing.Therefore,oral Chinese class plays an important role in the teaching of Chinese.Production-oriented approach is a teaching theory with Chinese characteristics proposed by Professor Wen and her team on the basis of Chinese education from excellent foreign teaching theories.After decades of development,the theoretical system of production-oriented approach has been revised five times.After the production-oriented approach was put forward,many researchers conducted theoretical and practical researches on it.In recent years,more and more researchers of Chinese as a foreign language have begun to study the application of productionoriented approach in TCFL.This study applies the production-oriented approach in oral teaching of intermediate Chinese to verify the effectiveness of productionoriented approach in oral teaching of intermediate Chinese and to investigate and analyze the attitudes and opinions of foreign students of intermediate level Chinese in a university in Tongren towards the production-oriented approach.The subjects of this study is the foreign students in two intermediate language classes of a university in Tongren.Through the pre-test and post-test of the students in the experimental class and the control class before and after the experiment,it is proved that the application of the production-oriented approach in the intermediate oral Chinese teaching as a foreign language can better promote the improvement of students' oral performance because the application of the production-oriented approach in the oral Chinese class as a foreign language is helpful to stimulate students' learning interest and motivation,and make students clear their learning goals.The efficiency of learning is improved through selective learning,and the rich and varied teaching activities in the classroom enable students to combine learning with application.After the teaching experiment,through the experimental class students questionnaire,and the method of using purposive sampling in grades including three range of two student interview as interview object,verified the student to the guidance method based on production-oriented approach are generally positive,most of the students say like production-oriented approach teaching,thinking is oral Chinese classroom activities can help them understand what they have learned content and improve the fluency of oral Chinese.The study shows that the application of the production-oriented approach in the teaching of intermediate spoken Chinese as a foreign language can improve the oral performance of students.This study also puts forward some suggestions in order to provide some useful references for the future teaching of intermediate spoken Chinese as a foreign language.
