The practice material is IPCC Press Conference for Climate Change 2022:Mitigation of Climate Change.Experts delivered speeches about climate change and the challenge of carbon emission.Therefore,the conference provides significant information for human beings to tackle climate change and protect earth.In the press conference,several speakers speak fast and use long and complex sentence structures,which pose challenges for the simultaneous interpretation.Thus,the author analyzes and concludes the problems of the interpreting and try to find some applicable strategies for the problems.After analyzing the transcript,the problems of the practice are information redundancy,impropriate sentence order and the mistakes caused by complex and long sentences.In the thesis,the strategies for these problems are omitting,supplement,waiting and dividing senses group.In the process of interpreting,applying the right interpreting strategies according to different situation will improve the interpreting quality.In the thesis,the author will present some examples of how to solve the problems mentioned before by using interpreting strategies.The analysis and the reflection make clear the important roles the strategies play in improving the quality of interpreting and when to apply these strategies.The thesis intends to spread more information of climate change,and record the experience of simultaneous interpreting.It also provides the reference material for other interpreters when they face similar difficulties to improve the interpreting quality.
