The musical style of the Romantic period was quite different from the classical style.Karl Maria von Weber was one of the musicians of the early Romantic period in Europe and played an important role in the music of the Romantic period.Weber’s musical style is varied and his personal artistic style is also diverse.In the field of his music creation,his favorite instrument is the piano,and he has created a large number of piano works.One of the most representative is the Invitation to Dance,composed by Weber in 1819.Gorgeous harmonic texture,fluctuating melody and changing musical mood all make the music more expressive.As if you were in a grand court ball,you could dance to the music,so it was very popular.This paper will conduct an in-depth study on the performance of this piano work.Firstly,it analyzes Weber’s life and the creation background of "Invite the Dance".Secondly,it introduces the musical characteristics,including the structure of musical form,harmonic mode and the shaping of musical image.
