| In 2013,Xi Jinping proposed "The Belt and Road" initiative.Since "The Belt and Road" initiative,cultural products with the theme of "The Belt and Road" have been widely spread at home and abroad.Documentaries objectively and truly record the outlook of development,and play an important role in telling Chinese stories well and promoting cultural exchanges.Documentaries have important dissemination value for "The Belt and Road" initiative."The Belt and Road" documentaries "My Youth on the Silk Road" and "The Day I Ran China" produced by Hunan Satellite TV stand out on overseas video platforms with their unique narrative methods,gain a large number of overseas audiences,and reduce communication barriers in cross-cultural communication.Achieve cultural identity in different cultural contexts.The Central Propaganda Department listed "My Youth on the Silk Road" and "The Day I Ran China" as the key projects of "The Belt and Road" overall publicity plan.Therefore,The thesis takes Hunan Satellite TV’s "The Belt and Road" documentary as the research object.From the perspective of cross-cultural communication,Analytical research using the narrative theory of Barthes and Todorov,it focuses on Todorov’s narrative structure,narrative perspective,The narrative discourse presents three angles.At the same time,using text analysis and in-depth interviews,The thesis analyzes how Hunan Satellite TV’s "The Belt and Road" documentary completes cross-cultural narratives from three aspects: narrative structure,narrative presentation,and narrative perspective,and draws inspiration from it for other media to learn from.Through the cross-cultural narrative analysis of Hunan Satellite TV’s "The Belt and Road" documentaries,the author finds that: Hunan Satellite TV’s "The Belt and Road" documentaries use linear and plate-type structures in the narrative structure,which not only connects grand themes,but also promotes the development of the storyline.In terms of narrative presentation,it closely follows China’s "development symbols" and tells the story of China’s rapid development;in terms of narrative perspective,it builds credibility with "self-sculpting",strengthens persuasion with "other-sculpting",and uses the two to "co-shape".It realizes the effective dissemination of discourse,completes the cross-cultural narrative of "The Belt and Road" documentary,realizes the spanning of different cultural contexts,and tells Chinese stories well. |
