Research On The Visualization And Communication Design Of Historical Figures In Guangxi Based On CBDB

Guangxi historical figures data are valuable cultural resources,and studying the group characteristics of Guangxi historical figures is helpful to grasp the overall Guangxi historical development and inherit Guangxi regional history and culture.However,due to the technical limitation of the times and the age,many data related to Guangxi historical figures have not been completely circulated,how to excavate and organize Guangxi historical figures data and realize digital archiving in the digital era today,and how to inherit and protect Guangxi historical figures resources through data visualization design are the key points in the research of this paper.The development of digital humanities makes the digital presentation of humanities data possible,and there are many cases of digital practice related to historical figures,but the digital practice of historical figures in Guangxi is still relatively few,and many of them are researched based on the life of an individual historical figure,while this paper provides a new perspective for the study of historical figures in Guangxi from the perspective of group research,by doing This paper provides a new perspective for the study of historical figures in Guangxi from the perspective of group study,and explores the common background characteristics of this group of historical figures by making a collective study of their lives.This paper starts from collecting the data of historical figures of Guangxi in CBDB,and visualizes the group characteristics of a large number of complex and time-spanning figures data by means of visualization design,focusing on the commonality of this group of historical figures.In this paper,through the creation of visualization design of Guangxi historical figures data,the main work results are as follows: 1)cleaning and organizing 1576 data sets of Guangxi historical figures and figures information from 510,000 data of CBDB;2)determining design principles and designing visual coding scheme based on theoretical research and user research;3)visualizing information of this group of Guangxi historical figures,including age,gender,geographical distribution,surname,academic examination,official position,writings,character relationship,etc.,including both static and interactive ways;4)analyze the historical causes behind the characteristics of this group of characters and guide users to understand the visualization presentation results.By visualizing the group characteristics of Guangxi historical figures,collecting and organizing Guangxi historical figures information resources from data layer,allowing readers to dig the group characteristics of Guangxi historical figures in a simple and intuitive way through data visualization,satisfying readers’ cognitive demand for Guangxi historical figures,promoting the development and inheritance of Guangxi historical figures culture,and also providing scholars and enthusiasts of relevant research with certain data basis and Theoretical or practical reference.
