Analysis Of The Cultural Expression And Chinese Elements Of The "Reply" Series Of TV Dramas In The Context Of The Northeast Asian Cultural Circl

Academia and industry have paid close attention to the impact of "Korean wave" on China’s cultural industry for a long time,while this influence has been gradually fading with the ebb of "Korean wave" and development of cultural industry in China.However,the successful experience of South Korean films and TV series in content creativity and production needs to be further studied,especially the mutual influence formed in sense of cultural symbiosis with the same root of Northeast Asian cultural circle.This paper takes South Korean TV series Reply as the analysis object and analyzes cultural expression and presentation mode of Chinese cultural symbols in the series based on relevant theories of film and television,semiotics and cultural communication research.The author tries to find the relationship between cultural interaction and dialogue in the East Asian cultural circle and explore possibility of integration of Chinese and South Korean culture represented by TV series.The first part introduction is mainly about background,purpose and significance,research status,methods,innovations and elaboration of the key concepts involved in this paper.The author expounds theoretical and practical value of this study and combs corresponding research status review from macro,meso and micro levels in order to elaborate research context,foothold,research methods and innovation of the paper.Finally,key concepts of the study are clarified so as to lay foundation for further in-depth interpretation.In the second part,the author takes South Korean TV series Reply as the research object of cultural text and explores cultural value orientation of the director in artistic creation from the perspective of cultural analysis in order to define the important role that “author subjectivity” cultural literacy and value concept plays in coding cultural symbols in TV series.Next,the author explains the cultural background from the 1980 s to the early 21 st century,discusses the role of "world objectivity" in promoting development of the story and the fate of characters from macro,meso and micro levels,and shows that cultural commonality plays an important role in cultural communication.Finally,the cultural expression characteristics of Reply are summarized.In the third part,Chinese cultural symbols presented in Reply are decoded from aspects of material symbols and spiritual symbols respectively.Then the author discusses the role of Chinese cultural symbols in the series,which aims to clarify the important influence of cultural symbols in cultural communication.Finally,the author shifts focus from linear dialogue of Chinese and South Korean culture to the whole Northeast Asian cultural circle and expounds interactivity and commonality of East Asian cultural circle around the specific popular cultural symbols in Reply,such as films,music and comics.In the forth part,the author focuses on cultural differences and integration between different countries in the Northeast Asian cultural circle through elaborating Reply as an excellent cultural communication example in the above chapters and hopes to bring enlightenment on the content and production level to the creators of Chinese TV series,especially family ethics dramas.
