| As an educational method,popular science has been introduced into picture books,which has opened up an accessible road for children to understand things and explore the world.Influenced by the two concepts of "science picture books" in Japan and "science books" in Europe and America,domestic popular science picture books originally mostly referred to picture books involving natural scientific knowledge.Used to refer to some picture books that disseminate knowledge related to human history and social activities.According to the emphasis on content,the form of creation and the purpose of creation,popular science picture books can be divided into two categories: "hard popular science" and "soft popular science".Different from the "hard popular science" picture books that focus on using relatively rigorous expressions to disseminate natural science knowledge,the "soft popular science" picture book,the research object of this paper,not only involves natural science and engineering science,but its subject matter selection is more inclined to humanistic history and social science knowledge.It is closer to life,and in addition to being scientific,it can also show various characteristics such as fun,readability,and intelligence.In-depth scientific knowledge,interesting stories,and free and diverse visual expressions have jointly achieved the effect of "soft science popularization".Through the analysis of representative picture books,this paper explores the theme presentation methods,atmosphere creation methods,visual performance characteristics,and emotional communication channels of "soft popular science" picture books,in order to promote the research of "soft popular science" picture books and better in creative practice application. |
