| As one of the most important forms of contemporary art from the perspective of the discipline of art and design, installation art is influenced by various schools, concepts, techniques, and materials due to its free and inclusive nature, which is not restricted by art disciplines, and has gradually developed its unique creative methods and avant-garde forms of expression, and has always shown a coupling with the times during its century-long history. This is why installation art has become one of the most important forms of contemporary art creation and art exhibitions and is increasingly at the forefront of international design art.In a time of ’crossing borders’,artists, designers, and even scholars are using the installation as a vehicle of expression to find solutions to the problems facing contemporary life and society through the combined use of art, technology, engineering, and science. The intervention of technology affects the form of art;the creation and expression of artworks also reveal the impact and change of technology on different dimensions of visual interface, morphological transformation, and interactive experience. The field of contemporary art has thus been broadened.Against this backdrop,a ’new’ path for the development of installation art is therefore pointed out in terms of the changing environment of contemporary society, the development of postmodern technology, and the changing needs of humanity and ecology. This study focuses on one of the three major clean energy sources, wind energy, focuses on cutting-edge art installations powered by natural wind energy, and summarises the development of natural wind-driven installation art in contemporary installation art design, intending to explore the functionality of contemporary wind-driven art installations from the perspective of industrial design, using new technologies, new paths and other new ways to expand the application scenarios of art installations utilizing art design. The aim is to explore the functionalities of contemporary wind-driven art installations from the perspective of industrial design. |
