| Under the pressure of conventional energy resources shortage and worsening globalecological environment, as an efficient, clean, non-polluting, renewable new energy, wind energyis gaining more attention. Exploration and utilization of wind energy has been developingdramatically in the whole world. China is still at the initial stage in wind energy development, which means that learning from the developed countries is of vital importance. Therefore,English-Chinese translation of wind energy technology literature is essential. This paper, atranslation report concerning European wind energy development, describes the whole process oftranslation. It consists of five sections, including an introduction to the project, preparationbefore translation, principles of translation and proofreading after translation, case analysis andconclusion. The first section makes a brief introduction to the whole project. The second sectionintroduces the arrangement of translators, the schedule of translation, analysis of text types, textsfor reference, etc.; the third section discusses the principles of translation and proofreading aftertranslation; the fourth section reviews some problems that occurred during the process oftranslation and their solutions; the last section sums up the author’s experiences in the practice oftranslation. |
