The outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020 has prompted the transformation of international Chinese language teaching from offline teaching to online teaching.In this situation,classes suspended but learning continues has been taken up by online teaching formats such as MOOC,which stimulated the development of the platform.MOOC(Massive Open Online Course)is a kind of online education developed under the support of Internet,digital terminal technology,open education and lifelong learning concept,etc.It has been welcomed by a large number of learners at home and abroad with the characteristics of openness,interactivity,large scale and background of famous schools,which has greatly promoted the development of Chinese language education.In this paper,the author takes two Chinese courses from MOOC,Kit de contact en langue chinoise,and Mandarin Chinese designed by a team from Shanghai Jiaotong University as the research objects.Comparing studies and analyzes would be held from the course interface,course content,teaching methods,culture,extension resources,and course evaluation to explore the advantages and limitations of the international Chinese course.Based on the study,suggestions for the design of international Chinese courses in MOOC are presented,which also provide references for the design of future courses.This paper consists of five chapters:Chapter 1 introduction,which specifies the research background,research purpose and research significance of this paper,as well as the current research status of international Chinese courses in MOOC.Chapter 2 overview of international Chinese courses in MOOC,in which the definition,development status and characteristics of international Chinese courses are analyzed.Chapter 3 we introduce the basic information of the development team and courses of Kit de contact en langues orientales :chinois and Mandarin Chinese,and conduct a detailed comparative study from the perspectives of home page interface,teaching content interface,practice and test interface,interactive discussion interface and culture expansion interface.Chapter 4 a comparative study was conducted on the teaching of " Kit de contact en langues orientales :chinois" and "Mandarin Chinese",taking the teaching content of the same topic "How many people are in your family" as an example,and comparing and analyzing the teaching content,teaching process,teaching methods and extra-curricular cultural development resources.Chapter 5 evaluation and suggestions of the two catechisms,the author summarizes and analyzes the advantages and shortcomings of the two Chinese catechisms according to the learners’ forum evaluations in the two catechisms,and tries to put forward his own suggestions,hoping to provide relevant ideas for the future development of international Chinese catechisms.Chapter 6 the study of the two catechisms is summarized in terms of course interface,teaching content and teaching process,teaching methods,and cultural outreach resources,and the shortcomings of this study are presented.
