On The Application Of Black,White And Grey Elements In Painting

The initial black,white and gray in painting is the most essential summary of the color scheme visible to the naked eye,and then,through the author’s subjective processing,the spatial color blocks divided by lines are reorganized to form a new picture with black,white and gray relationships.Black,white and gray is independent of the world of color and has its own laws of operation.The study of black,white and gray can help oneself to better grasp the picture and get rid of the troubles arising from blindness and chance in painting.The design of black,white and gray in the picture is not only a transformation of the inherent color,but also the order of the picture after subjective processing.Only by detaching from the object,coming from life and going to the picture,can we create better works.Whether it is Eastern or Western,classical or contemporary art,the creation of painting cannot be separated from the artistic practice of black and white and gray.This shows the importance of the relationship between black and white and gray in the picture,which is also the primary significance of this study and research.The black and white gray discussed in this paper is not an assertion based on feelings alone,but a scientific study of the principle of black and white gray,theoretical solution to the picture problem.The first part introduces the concept of black and white gray in a broad and narrow sense,comparing the commonality and individuality of black and white gray in China and the West,as well as the black and white gray forms in the art of black and white gray painting.The second part discusses the subjective creativity of black and white gray and the use of the spatial relationship generated by the transformation of black and white in brush painting,based on excellent Chinese paintings.In the third part,three of my creative works are selected to show the inspiration of black and white gray to my painting.I hope that through the analysis and discussion in this paper,I can better clarify the relationship between black and white and gray,so as to bring more help to my future creation.
