XiHuErJi is a representative "The west lake novel".There are a large number of images in the novel.Their connotations have been used many times in literary creation,and have changed constantly in the process of dissemination,and finally become unique aesthetic images.To study the west Lake images in the novel from the perspective of aesthetic culture can deepen our understanding of the west Lake images and obtain a deeper aesthetic experience.The introduction part,referring to the previous research results,analyzes and defines the concepts of "The West Lake novel" and "West Lake images",sorts out the research purpose and significance of this thesis,and expounds the research ideas and methods of this thesis.The first part discusses the changing process of the images from the three perspectives of natural images,humanistic images and aesthetic images,and shows the multi-dimensional meaning and connotation of the west Lake images.The second part,taking the novel as an example,discusses the generalization of the aesthetic image of West Lake,the symbolization of the aesthetic image of West Lake,and the popularity of the aesthetic image of West Lake.The third part focuses on the aesthetic interests of elegance and vulgarities in the west Lake images,the relationship between the natural characteristics and cultural connotation in the west Lake images,as well as the unity of the content form and combination mode of the West Lake images.In the perspective of aesthetic culture,the images of West Lake are neither a direct reflection of nature,nor a simple superposition of humanity and aesthetics,but a complex image with multiple elements such as natural scenery,humanistic spirit,aesthetic value and cultural psychology.It inherits people’s traditional cognition of the images of West Lake and develops again in the new historical background and new theoretical basis.
