Reserch On West Lake Poem Lyrics And Songs In Ming Dynasty

Popular literature in Ming dynasty presented with a prosperous prospect, while traditional literature was on its way to decline, hence in the dynasty of Ming, Ci and Qu had two different trends on development.Ming Ci. origin-ed from Song dynasty, was declining to the bottom in Ming dynasty. Compared with Tang and Song dynasties, the reasons why West Lake Ci became not prosperous were not only caused by the then background of the development of Ci. but related to the ignored West Lake in Yuan and Ming dynasties. Meanwhile, despite the declining trend of Ci. there were still quite a number of outstanding Ci-writers with their works when it came to the Ming Dynasty, especially the West Lake School. In contract, Yuan Qu started and got prosperous from the Yuan Dynasty. Even if it came to the Ming Dynasty, Yuan Qu was still in its boom with a great number of splendid drama-writers and works. With the crash of Ci and Qu in their developed progresses, they always influenced each other, and then the phenomenons of "Ci inclination and Song inclination" can be found in West Lake Ci and songs. This paper intends to analysis the trends of the developments of West Lake Ci and Qu, and discuss the significance and value of West Lake Ci and songs in Ming dynasty on the whole West Lake literature.
