| Single Pilot Operation mode is one of the core technologies for the development of the next generation of commercial aircraft.Single Pilot Operation mode is the cooperative implementation of single pilot of commercial aircraft, intelligent cockpit automatic system and ground airline operators. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration of the United States has been continuously and deeply studied the Single Pilot Operation, which has laid the foundation for the development of Single Pilot Operation technology. In China, the research on Single Pilot Operation is relatively rare. Thus, the translation of relevant foreign scientific and technical literature plays an important role in the research on Single Pilot Operation in China and the strengthening of technical exchanges at home and abroad. This report examines the translation of Chapter 5 of NASA’s Single-Pilot Operations Technical Interchange Meeting Proceedings and Findings. It is a reflection and summary of the translation program.Under the guidance of Skopos Theory, the language shift in the translation program is analyzed and the selection and improvement of translation is discussed based on the three principles of Skopos Theory, with the translation methods of conversion, omission and amplification, division and combination and inversion.Based on the translation program, this report is to give a description of the process of translation optimization with language shift analysis as the main part.By illustrating the background of the translation program, translation process and the problems and solutions during translation, this report aims to explore how to make the translation meet the requirements of concise accuracy, simple understandability and coherence, and provide referential strategies and methods for the translation of proceedings. |
