A Study On The Legend Of Turji Mountain

Turji mountain is located in the Maodu tusumu of Horqin Left wing rear banner in Tongliao City.Turji mountain has not only beautiful scenery,but also rich historical and cultural connotation.There are many local legends around turji mountain.These legends are closely related to the local natural and social environment,have distinctive characteristics and rich cultural connotation,and have high research value.Based on the records of scholars’ works and the texts collected through investigation,this paper comprehensively uses a variety of research methods to study the legend of turji mountain.On the one hand,the purpose of the research is to enrich the current research on landscape legends in academic circles,on the other hand,to strengthen the understanding of local regional culture,especially folk culture through landscape legends.The introduction of this paper first explains the reason and significance of the topic,shows the value and significance of the research done in this paper,then combs the relevant research overview,and then lists the research methods used in the research combined with the research practice.After the introduction,the main body is divided into three chapters.The first chapter introduces the natural geographical environment,cultural environment and the general situation of archaeological discoveries in turji mountain.It is considered that the generation and dissemination of turji mountain legend is closely related to the local natural geographical space and cultural context.Horqin Left wing rear banner is an area with vast grassland,dense population,many cultural relics and historic sites,long social history and rich natural resources,which makes the area have a large number of landscape legends with rich categories.The second chapter makes a detailed text analysis and type division of turji mountain legend.This paper comprehensively uses the research methods of culturology and human school.Firstly,according to the expression of legend on landscape,the legend of turji mountain is divided into two basic types: the legend explaining the origin of turji mountain name and the legend related to landscape gods.Then it is divided into several more specific types according to the plot unit.The narrative structure and narrative plot of each type of legend are analyzed and summarized according to the motif analysis method,It also summarizes the basic characteristics of the legend of turji mountain.This paper points out that the legend of turji mountain has the basic characteristics of interpretation,credibility,mystery,regionality and image.Among them,the explanatory characteristics refer to the explanatory nature of landscape legend in narration and the explanatory element in text structure;The characteristic of credibility refers to that the narrative content of the legend reflects the landscape with a real and credible element.This credibility is constructed by the context,text,narrator and receiver;The mysterious feature refers to the strange and exaggerated color of the landscape legend in its reflection and expression of the landscape.This mystery is mainly reflected in the narrative plot and image role of the legend;Regional characteristics refer to that many landscape legends are created according to the customs,geographical environment and local customs of their own nation and region.Therefore,landscape legends have deep national characteristics and local color;The image characteristic refers to a kind of attribute that can arouse people’s perceptual experience,thoughts and feelings when using the special form of image to reflect life in the process of literary creation and language communication.The third chapter summarizes the cultural connotation of turji mountain legend.This paper points out that the legend of turji mountain contains many aspects of the nation’s social life and culture.The legend of turji mountain contains rich contents of traditional customs,which fully reflects the local people’s living customs such as the naming custom of advocating hometown customs and landscape names.Through the study of the legend of turji mountain,it can be seen that the legend of turji mountain is deeply influenced by oral cultures such as Gesar legend and nanmanzi legend.The legend also contains the connotation of spiritual beliefs such as folk beliefs and religious beliefs of local people.For example,the legend narrative reflects the contents of folk beliefs such as local people’s concepts of landscape gods,taboos and Feng Shui.Many image characters in the legend are religious figures and gods,The legend also clearly reflects the characteristics of the hybridity and utilitarianism of local religious beliefs.The conclusion part of the paper combs the analysis and demonstration process and main viewpoints of this paper,and also points out the shortcomings and deficiencies in this research.
