| Purpose:To observe the clinical efficacy of the combination of Chinese herbal medicine tonifying the kidney and resolving phlegm soup with western medicine in treating patients with polycystic ovary syndrome with kidney deficiency and phlegm-dampness based on homocysteine and uric acid levels,and to provide a new clinical basis for the treatment of patients with polycystic ovary syndrome.Material and method:Sixty-seven patients with polycystic ovary syndrome due to kidney deficiency and phlegm-dampness who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into a control group(33 patients)and a trial group(34 patients).The control group was treated with Ursimine and Elavil,and the test group was treated with kidney tonifying and phlegm-transforming soup on the basis of the control group,and health education was provided to both groups during three months of treatment,and the time and intensity of exercise were supervised.At the end of treatment,the waist-to-hip ratio(WHR),body mass index(BMI)and TCM syndrome score were calculated before and after treatment in both groups,and changes in homocysteine(HCY),uric acid(UA),lnsulin resistance index(HOMA-IR),luteinizing hormone/follicle stimulating hormone(LH/FSH),luteinizing hormone(LH),follicle stimulating hormone(FSH),and the four lipid indices(TG,TC,HDL-C,LDL-C)were analyzed.Results:1.Efficacy results: The overall effective rate of the test group(90.0%)was higher than that of the control group(66.7%)in this trial,and the results were statistically significant(p<0.01).2.Compared with before and after treatment in both groups: BMI,WHR,TCM syndrome score,HCY,UA,HOMA-IR,LH,LH/FSH,FSH,TG,TC and HDL-C improved in both groups compared with before treatment(p< 0.05),and the difference was statistically significant.LDL-C improved significantly and statistically significant in the test group compared with before(p < 0.05),and there was no statistical significance in the control group(p>0.05).3.Compared between groups after treatment: TCM evidence score,BMI,Hcy,UA,HOMA-IR,LH/FSH,LH,TC were statistically significant(p<0.05),and the test group was better than the control group.WHR,FSH,TG,HDL-C and LDL-C had comparable efficacy between groups after treatment,with no statistical significance(p>0.05).4.Follow-up results: the TCM evidence score of the test group was significantly lower than that of the control group at follow-up(p<0.01),and the difference was statistically significant.Conclusion:1.In this study,the treatment of the control group(Elavil and Ursimine)and the experimental group(tonifying kidney and phlegm soup combined with Elavil and Ursimine)were effective.The combined efficacy of the Chinese herbal medicine tonifying kidney and phlegm soup combined with Elavil and Ursimine in treating PCOS with kidney deficiency and phlegm-dampness evidence is better than that of Elavil and Ursimine alone,and this protocol can be applied to treat clinically relevant conditions,explored in depth and further promoted for use.2.This study protocol can reduce homocysteine,uric acid,insulin resistance index,sex hormone and lipid levels,improve metabolism,and can induce voluntary ovulation.It reduces the incidence of long-term complications caused by PCOS,such as coronary heart disease,adverse pregnancy,hyperlipidemia,gout and diabetes mellitus.3.No adverse reactions occurred during this study,and the safety was high.Chinese medicine combined with western medicine has unique advantages in the diagnosis and treatment of this disease,and can be further promoted and applied. |
