Objective: Through the clinical observation of the treatment of Hashimoto’s thyroiditis with Modified Shengyang Yiwei Decoction for spleen-kidney Yang deficiency syndrome,to explore its clinical efficacy and safety,to provide theoretical basis and new feasible methods for traditional Chinese medicine treatment of Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. Methods: 60 patients participating in this study were randomly divided into two groups: 1.Treatment group;2.Control group. The control group received levothyroxine sodium tablets and basic treatment, and the treatment group was additionally given traditional Chinese medicine decoction(Modified Shengyang Yiwei Decoction)on the basis of the control group. The total treatment course was 12 weeks.Statistical analysis was carried out after the course of treatment, and the changes of thyroid function(TSH,FT3,FT4),thyroid autoantibodies(TPOAb,TGAb),thyroid color ultrasound(thickness of left lobe, right lobe and isthmic part),TCM single symptom score and TCM syndrome efficacy score were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results: 1.From the point of view of TCM single symptom score: after treatment, the treatment group can effectively improve the TCM single symptom score(P< 0.05).The control group could partially improve the single symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine(fatigue, fear of cold limbs, abdominal distension, floating face and swollen limbs, defecation weakness, urination frequency),and there was statistical significance(P<0.05),but it was not significant to improve the single symptom of traditional Chinese medicine(swelling of front neck, soreness and tenderness of waist and knee)(P>0.05).After comparing the treatment between the two groups,it was concluded that the treatment group was better than the control group in improving the individual symptoms of fatigue, fear of cold limbs, abdominal distension, floating face and swollen limbs, waist and knee tenderness, defecation weakness and urination frequency, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).2.From the perspective of TCM syndrome scores: after treatment in the two groups,TCM syndrome scores in the two groups decreased significantly compared with before(P<0.01).Comparing TCM syndrome scores between the two groups after treatment, the treatment group was significantly better than the control group(P<0.01).3.From the point of view of thyroid autoantibody titers: after treatment, the titers of thyroid peroxidase antibody and thyroid globulin antibody were decreased in the two groups(P<0.01),the difference was statistically significant. The decrease of thyroid autoantibody titer in the treatment group was better than that in the control group(P<0.01),the difference was statistically significant.4.In terms of thyroid function, the thyroid function of the two groups was significantly improved after treatment compared with before treatment(P<0.01);There was no significant difference between the two groups after treatment(P> 0.05).5.According to thyroid color ultrasound, there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups after treatment in intra-group and inter-group comparison(P>0.05).Conclusion: Modified Shengyang Yiwei Decoction can obviously relieve the clinical symptoms of Hashimoto’s thyroiditis patients with spleen-kidney Yang deficiency syndrome, effectively reduce the thyroid autoantibody titer,no liver and kidney damage during the treatment, with good safety.
