Research On The Application Of Empathy Design In The Mascots Of Ethnic Minorities

With the increasing expansion of the design field and the continuous increase in information content,it is difficult for designers to grasp the needs and touchpoints of users in the creative process.In the 1990 s,empathy was first applied in the design field to try to solve more design problems.In today’s society,mascots are the most dynamic image spokespersons,playing a crucial role in promoting and promoting activities,competitions,and businesses.However,the development of mascots for ethnic minorities has encountered difficulties,unable to present the appearance of the new era,especially in traditional cultural activities organized by ethnic minorities themselves,such as the Nadam Festival,where mascots have hardly been developed.This paper first seeks to use empathy design method to guide the problems in the mascots of ethnic minorities,and proposes steps and tools to solve the problems for the mascots of ethnic minorities by combining the methods of design psychology.At the same time,in the design practice section,apply this method to the mascot of the Nadam Conference.Through in-depth research and analysis of the mascot of the Nadam Conference,we will explore the problems existing in the activities,find a more applicable theoretical system,and build a system process to guide the actual operation,which will provide reference for the theory of empathy design method to the realization process,and have certain application value for the development of the mascot of our ethnic traditional culture,and contribute to the inheritance and development of excellent culture.At the same time,the combination of empathy and mascot can broaden the application scope of empathy design field,so that the method is not limited to vulnerable groups,can go to the public’s perspective,help designers solve more problems,so that the design method can be widely used and constantly give it new meaning.
