A Study On The Creation Of Documentary From The Perspective Of Regional Culture

As an important form of film and television art,documentary film presents unique social environment and human life patterns on the screen around the purpose of true recording.It has a unique function of cultural protection and dissemination,especially in the context of national emphasis on regional cultural propaganda,documentary film has become an effective carrier for expressing regional cultural characteristics,playing a good inspiration value and dissemination effect for the inheritance and protection of regional culture,and greatly promoting the prosperous development of documentary film.At the same time,regional culture provides rich and diverse material for documentary creation,which is conducive to deepening the aesthetic meaning of documentary films and improving their artistic ornamental and documentary style characteristics.The two are intrinsically linked by mutual achievement and development.In this regard,studying how to record and reflect regional cultural characteristics in documentary creation is of great practical significance to inherit and protect regional culture and promote the innovative development of documentary films.In this paper,we briefly explain the concept and inner connection between regional culture and documentary film,and analyze how to record and reflect regional cultural characteristics in the creation of documentary film from the perspectives of visual presentation,auditory presentation and narrative strategy based on the analysis of related documentary film works,combined with the documentary film "Taste of Shaxian" which I have completed.This work is prepared and filmed in my hometown Shaxian,recording the history of Shaxian taste from the helplessness of "one stretcher and one pot" to the struggle of industrialization and even internationalization nowadays,and also talking about the past and the present,integrating the unique regional culture and snacking skills of Shaxian with the flourishing waterways and the intermingling of north and south since ancient times into the documentary.It is hoped that through the camera record of the hometown,reflecting the changes in regional culture and humanistic emotions formed in the context of the old and new times,and to provide reference for the inheritance and protection of regional culture and the innovative development of documentary films.
