| As an external expression of social relations, design should actively promote social transformation and social change under the current wave of global capital excess. At the same time, along with the modernisation process, the scope of design has gradually evolved from design objects to more systematic design thinking, and social design was born as an innovative concept for solving social problems, with an implicit design humanism of "design for good" in its core.Social design promotes social change, and social change is inseparable from social innovation, which brings new services and collaborative creation, thus promoting the spontaneity and consciousness of the people, and promoting social transformation from the bottom up and from the top down.In the current period of transition from the old to the new normal in China, which is built on the goal of "people-centred" development, there is an urgent need for more collaborative social design to facilitate social renewal. This paper compares the academic lineage and development process of social design, and delineates three progressive stages of development, illustrating the different degrees of design involvement in physical space and social life at different stages.A model of the total society, based on Marxist philosophy,is constructed with holistic thinking as the context for social design research, which is also divided into micro-macro level categories to develop social design theory and case studies, with micro level social design being organised co-production and macro level social design being ecological policy organisation.Continuing the research agenda of Victor Margolin’s ’social model’,the study divides the design practice process into stages in which designers can intervene and intervene, and through comparative case studies, aims to find a universal value in social design practice cases, constructing new social relations through the ecologicalisation of space, and thus reconstructing The aim is to find a universal value in the case of social design practice,to construct new social relations through the ecologicalization of space, and thus to reconstruct productive relations. The focus is on the "Chinese" study of social design theory, exploring how it can form a pathway for social ecological development that contributes to social renewal in the present day.In today’s complex and changing development landscape, new collectives are forming cooperative and symbiotic social enterprises, relying on innovative technology, platform ecology and forward-looking long-term planning to collaboratively build, share and benefit from each other. |
