With the increasing prominence of Chinese language in cultural exchange,the field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language is facing many new challenges,and it is necessary to find a scientific and effective pedagogy address current issues.In 2018,Wen Qiufang introduced the "production-oriented approach" to the field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,offering innovative ideas and solutions to many problems in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.This paper discusses the feasibility and necessity of applying the production-oriented approach to teaching culture at the advanced level of Chinese language,and uses the theory as a guide,the paper focuses on instructional design the teaching of food culture as an example.The first section of the thesis provides an overview of the theoretical system of POA,summarizing and clarifying issues such as the qualitative,positioning,quantitative and pedagogical content of advanced Chinese culture courses.The second section,on the basis of grasping the theoretical knowledge,analyzes the feasibility of applying the outputoriented method to Chinese culture classes at the advanced level in terms of the unity of teaching objectives and the appropriateness of teaching methods and strategies,and analyzes the necessity of applying the output-oriented method to Chinese culture classes at the advanced level from the problems of both culture teaching materials and culture teaching at the present stage.The third part applies the production-oriented approach to specific instructional design,analyzes the preparation of instructional design,instructional content,instructional priorities,and carries out specific instructional design according to three parts:iprepare,iexplore and iproduce.Part four provides a reflective summary of the problems in the instructional design process and offers suggestions.Through the study,the author found that the production-oriented approach is consistent with the teaching objectives of advanced Chinese culture classes;the three teaching aspects of POA theory iprepare,iexplore and iproduce are also compatible with the effective teaching methods and strategies proposed by previous authors;the teaching concept is a guide to solve the problems of lack of cross-cultural communication perspectives,weak practice sessions,and lack of deep culture in culture teaching materials at this stage;it improves the suitability of teaching contents and students’ language level in culture teaching,and alleviates the problem of lagging teaching methods.
