| Under the background of great changes in the nature of society after the founding of New China,the country needs to occupy the high ground of social mainstream thought as quickly as possible and lead the public to revolutionary new thoughts,new ideas and new morals.Due to its distinct social attributes,film is included first in the first step of reform.The Ministry of Culture made it clear in its report on the work of National Culture and Art in 1950 that "film is the first priority in the whole work of culture and art".Cinema,as an intermediary connecting film and audience,state policy and the masses,is how to complete specific work under the strong expectation of the state on film in the background of social environment change,system change and policy reversal,and complete the dissemination of film education function in practice.Firstly,the paper gives a comprehensive overview of the transformation of cinema’s spatial function under the leadership of the new regime after the national background changes.In Chapter 2 to Chapter 4,it discusses the social function of cinema as a material space,social space and reappearance space respectively through the three definitions of space in Lefebvre’s spatial theory and the applicability of cinema cultural space in the "seventeen years" period.To explore how Xi ’an cinema in the period of "seventeen years" reflects and achieves different demands among audience,individual,film and official demands in this special space.This paper takes Xi ’an Cinema in the "seventeen years" period as the starting point,attempts to discuss and elaborate the spatial function of Xi ’an cinema from the micro level through a large number of first-hand historical materials collected,and tries to make a more systematic and in-depth analysis of the social function of Xi’an cinema in the"seventeen years"period as a propaganda front and political classroom on the basis of previous studies.Study the multiple functions of cinema as a social space. |
