| Lao She is a very important object in the study of modern Chinese writers and works.Although the literary world attaches importance to Lao She,the research on him only focuses on a few literary categories. The study of modern and contemporary literature is divided by 1950,Focusing on Lao She’s novels and plays, the research on his literary thought is relatively lacking. This is not corresponding to Lao She’s rich theoretical connotation. In fact, whether it is Lao She’s lecture notes on literature in Jinan period,Lao Niu Po Che in the period of Anti Japanese War,or many creative talks and literary theories published in periodicals in the 1950s,It can be seen that Lao She has both literary theory literacy and clear theoretical consciousness. These important theoretical expressions prove that he is a literary theorist. In order to make up for this deficiency and complete more aspects of Lao She’s academic research,I focus on Lao She’s literary thought after returning to China from the United States in 1950.This paper combines the context of contemporary Chinese literature in the"seventeen years" period with Lao She’s specific literary creation in this stage, combs and studies Lao She’s literary thoughts in the seventeen years after the founding of the people’s Republic of China. The introduction of this paper clarifies the main purpose of the paper, summarizes the reason and value of this paper, promotes and expands the research on Lao She’s literary theory on the basis of the few previous studies. The logic of discussion is the development of Lao She’s literary and artistic ideas and the great changes in his social adaptation, and how these ideas are embodied in his creative practice. One of the methods is the historical comparison of his literary and artistic ideas, and the other is the contrast between the writer’s creative ideas and Practice. In addition, there are three chapters. The first chapter establishes such a premise:to discuss Lao She’s literary thought in the period of "seventeen years",we can’t separate the connection between his literary thought and "seventeen years" from his literary creation in England to his return from the United States in the 1950s.This connection is mainly an ideological change and transformation. Therefore, this chapter first combs the specific connotation and development of Lao She’s literary thoughts in the 1930s,the Anti Japanese War period and the "Seventeen Year" period, and then analyzes the literary thoughts in Lao She’s main literary genres, dramas and operas in the"Seventeen Year"period. The second chapter mainly discusses the concrete practice of Lao She’s view of literature and art in combination with his representative works at this stage. The third chapter examines Lao She’s adaptation to the new literary norms at the early stage of his return to China, his revival of his literary life in the past and his silence after 1966.Under the guidance of the literary thought and line of "speech at Yan’an Forum on literature and art",Lao she carried out ideological transformation in the context of social reality in the 1950s,and carried out such ideological achievements in his creation, which also formed literary works of different quality. With the frequent literary and artistic movements in the "seventeen years",literary and artistic norms are constantly changing. The entanglement between literature and politics, revolution, new and old literary concepts must be reflected in Lao She’s literary creation at this stage. It also leads to the paradox that the value of his works is short-lived and permanent, and the complex interaction between his real heart and social requirements. |
