A Study On The Discourse Marker “X+Zhidao”

The main members of the "X know" class discourse markers are "you know,you know,everyone knows,we know,who knows,how to know,God knows,the devil knows",etc.,they have gradually formed a solidified structure stored in people’s brains,under the dual role of grammarization and subjectivization,it has evolved into the discourse marker components in daily communication and discourse,affecting our recognition and understanding of sentences.This paper classifies and examines the discourse markers of "X knowing" based on form and function,and focuses on the discourse mode,pragmatic function and formation process of this type of discourse markers,in order to grasp the essential characteristics of such discourse markers more comprehensively and enrich the research on modern Chinese discourse markers.The full text mainly includes six parts:In this paper,this paper focuses on the research status of discourse markers at home and abroad and the research status of "X knows",and explains the research significance,research methods and corpus sources of this paper.Chapter 1,A Basic Examination of the Discourse Mark "X Knows." On the basis of previous research,the definition and characteristics of discourse marks are determined,the discourse mark "X knows" to be studied in this paper is defined,and its constituent components-the variable "X" and the descriptive verb "know" are analyzed,and the discourse marks of "X know" are classified from the perspectives of structural form and main function.Chapter 2,A Study of the Subject-Verb Structure Class Discourse Mark "X Knows".The discourse mode and pragmatic function of subject-verb structure discourse markers "X know" such as "personal pronoun + know","interrogative pronoun + know" and "noun + know" are comprehensively investigated.At the same time,the variation form is compared with the subject-verb structure class discourse mark "X knows" in the basic form,and their differences and connections in various aspects are analyzed.Chapter 3,A Study of the Partial Structural Discourse Mark "X Knows".The discourse mode and pragmatic function of the discourse mark "X know" such as "auxiliary verb + know" and "adverb + know" are investigated.The variation form is compared with the basic form of the partial positive structure class discourse mark "X knows",and their similarities and differences are analyzed.Chapter 4,A Diachronic Examination of the Discourse Mark "X Knows." The formation process of each member of "X knows" is analyzed one by one,and the formation motivation and evolution mechanism of "X knows" discourse markers are discussed.Conclusion,summarize the full text,point out the shortcomings of the research and the direction of future efforts.
