A Study On Pragmatic Function Of Ni Yao-Zhidao As A Discourse Marker

In this paper,it is aim to Discourse Marker NI YAO-ZHIDAO as the research object,focusing on its Pragmatic Function. Then research its functions from Syntax, semantics, and pragmatics. By comparing to another two Discourse Marker NI-ZHIDAO and YAO-ZHIDAO, we can find similarities and differences between the three on their Pragmatic Function.In final, we discuss the conditions for the formation and operation mechanism of the Discourse Marker NI YAO-ZHIDAO.The paper is divided into five parts:The introduction defines the object of the study and review the research results of Discourse Marker NI YAO-ZHIDAO.Reviewing the research results,we discovery that they are lack of relevant studies from both static and dynamic combination to conduct investigations. Therefore, this article is ready to do holistic analysis from syntax, semantics, pragmatics and research its formation conditions and operation mechanism.The first part carefully defines the identity of the Discourse Marker NI YAO-ZHIDAO, aiming to separate with other unlabeled discourse markers use. Using the Prototype Theory to structure NI YAO-ZHIDAO for the discourse in the presentation of the characteristics of a typical academic consensus discourse markers features comparation.By comparing,we can obtain a result that the structure NI YAO-ZHIDAO in full compliance with the characteristics typical of discourse markers. Then from the point of view from syntactic,analysis the relationship between structure NI YAO-ZHIDAO to before and after with their discourse ingredients,combine with relevant dictionary description of the marker,then establish the discourse marker identity of structure NI YAO-ZHIDAO.The second part detailly discuss the pragmatic functions of discourse marker NI YAO-ZHIDAO.This chapter analysis from the usage patterns, the locale, followed components and pragmatic functions. We examine the flag of the discourse marker NI YAO-ZHIDAO locating in the beginning,middle, and end part in spoken words, analysis the total of seven model specific performances. Then explore the effect from Language Context and Style to use for the marker NI YAO-ZHIDAO.Finally, examine the compositions followed by the marker NI YAO- ZHIDAO.And detailed inquiry different position on the syntactic functions of marker NI YAO-ZHIDAO.Through the above study, we can find the Conclusions:In the beginning of the speaker’s words, NI YAO-ZHIDAO have functions such as opening the main topic, leading to the speaker opinions or advice, leading to the fact that an idea or behavior for the speaker required, basing on additional background information and Emphatic inform tatal five pragmatic functions. In the middle of spoken words,in addition to the above five functions, there turns to continue to maintain current topics and to undertake the context for the speaker to speak to gain time to reorganize words.Locating at the end of the speaker words,the discourse NI YAO-ZHIDAO mainly use to highlight the main information that the speaker needs to highlight.At last, from different research cares,we can draw its core function is to remind the listener’s attention.The third part mainly compares NI YAO-ZHIDAO with another two markers NI-ZHIDAO and YAO-ZHIDAO from the usage patterns, followed by components, pragmatic functions. Concluding that the three can be used interchangeably in conversation language style. The difference is that the marker NI YAO-ZHIDAO have more meaning in drawing listener’s attention than NI-ZHIDAO and YAO-ZHIDAO.But like news, newspapers and other microblogging,the three can not be used interchangeably. Because the Monologue Style class needn’t human interaction. But if such Style Class have the conditions needed for dialogue, and that the speaker used markers can also be replaced by M YAO-ZHIDAO.The fourth part discusses its formation conditions and operating mechanism for the usage of discourse markers to the mark NI YAO-ZHIDAO. By analysising the Syntactic, Semantic and Pragmatics forming conditions, we can conclude:The complex connected component followed by it, flexible syntactic position,Semantic blur and conventionalized,high frequency as solid structure to use and strong interpersonal interactivity. Then explores the operation mechanism of the discourse marker NI YAO-ZHIDAO,finding that the politeness norms and associated guidelines in communicative principle restricting the use of NI YAO-ZHIDAO.So we can conclude that the discourse marker NI YAO-ZHIDAO is an important mechanism for pragmatic function expression.
