In recent years, the integrated development of cultural industry and tourism industry has played an important role in stimulating domestic demand, prospering the market, expanding employment, and smoothing the domestic circulation, promoting further economic growth in China. As the integration and development of the cultural and tourism industry enters a new stage, the phenomenon of "integration but not integration, integration but not integration" between the cultural industry and the tourism industry has become more and more prominent, reflecting the problem of insufficient integration of culture and tourism industry. At present, technological innovation has injected new vitality into the development of the cultural and tourism industry, promoted the integration and innovation of the industrial chain, and promoted the integration and development of the cultural and tourism industry to a wider scope, deeper and higher level. Therefore, studying the influence mechanism of technological innovation on the integrated development of cultural tourism industry has important practical value. However, the existing research only discusses the impact of technological innovation on the integrated development of the cultural and tourism industry from the theoretical level, and lacks the support of empirical research, and few scholars discuss the impact mechanism of technological innovation on the integrated development of the cultural and tourism industry in depth. Therefore, this paper focuses on the current situation of the integration of culture and tourism, empirically analyzes the promotion effect and influence mechanism of technological innovation on the integrated development of the cultural and tourism industry, and then puts forward policy suggestions to promote the deep integration of the cultural and tourism industry, which is of great practical significance for promoting the high-quality development of the integration of the cultural and tourism industry, further releasing market vitality, expanding domestic demand and promoting economic growth.Based on the above background and ideas, firstly, this paper takes the panel data of 31 provinciallevel administrative regions in China from 2010 to 2019 as a sample, constructs an evaluation index system for the integrated development of cultural industry and tourism industry from three dimensions: industrial foundation, factor input and industrial effect, and systematically measures the status quo and evolution characteristics of the integrated development of cultural and tourism industry in China through the coupling coordination degree model,Dagum Gini coefficient and Kernel density estimation.Secondly, the spatial Dubin model is used to conduct regression analysis to verify the direct effect and spatial spillover effect of technological innovation on the integrated development of cultural industry and tourism industry, and analyze regional heterogeneity.Thirdly, the mediation effect model is constructed using consumer demand as the mediating variable, and the demand expansion mechanism of technological innovation to promote the integration of cultural tourism industry is analyzed. Finally, the theoretical analysis and empirical test results are summarized, which provides policy suggestions for promoting the integrated development of regional cultural tourism industry, and puts forward the research shortcomings and prospects of this paper.Accordingly, the main conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)From the perspective of temporal and spatial distribution, the integration and development of China’s cultural tourism industry has obvious temporal and spatial differences, the level of cultural tourism industry integration is increasing year by year, and the regional gap is gradually narrowing;Spatially,it shows the distribution characteristics of "high east and low west".On the whole, the integrated development of China’s culture and tourism industry has achieved certain results, and the level of integration has improved. However, the level of integrated development of the cultural tourism industry varies significantly in regions, showing a spatial pattern of decreasing from the eastern coast to the inland areas.Further analysis of regional heterogeneity shows that the level of cultural and tourism industry integration in the eastern region is relatively high, the spatial agglomeration effect is enhanced, and the regional gap is gradually narrowing with time.Although the level of cultural tourism industry integration in the central and western regions is low,the coupling and coordination level transition phenomenon is relatively active, indicating that the cultural tourism industry integration in the central and western regions has great development potential. The low level of integrated development of cultural and tourism industry in Northeast China may be due to the serious loss of capital, manpower and other resource elements, resulting in insufficient stamina for the integrated development of cultural and tourism industry in the region.(2)Technological innovation not only promotes the integrated development of cultural tourism industry in the region, but also shows a positive spatial spillover effect on neighboring areas. Therefore, the spatial Dubin model is constructed to regress and decompose the effects, and it is found that the direct effect and spatial spillover effect of technological innovation are significantly positive, indicating that technological innovation not only promotes the integrated development of cultural tourism industry in the region, but also promotes the integrated development of cultural tourism industry in neighboring regions with the diffusion of technology. On this basis, further analysis of regional heterogeneity shows that the direct effects and spatial spillover effects of technological innovation on the integrated development of cultural tourism industry have obvious regional differences. The direct effects of technological innovation decreased in the eastern, central, western and northeastern regions. The spatial spillover effect of technological innovation was significantly negative in the eastern region, positive in the central region, and positive but not significant in the western and northeastern regions.(3)Technological innovation promotes the integrated development of the cultural tourism industry by promoting the upgrading of consumer demand. This paper uses cultural tourism consumption demand as an intermediary variable to construct a mediation effect model, and it can be seen from the empirical results that in the process of technological innovation to promote the integrated development of cultural tourism industry, consumer demand plays a part of the intermediary role, and the intermediary effect accounts for12.9%,indicating that technological innovation can not only directly promote the integration and innovation of the cultural and tourism industry chain, but also promote the upgrading of cultural tourism consumption demand through the integration of cultural tourism products and broadening publicity channels, thereby promoting the integration and development of culture and tourism industry to a higher level and a deeper level.Compared with previous research, this paper mainly makes the following contributions:(1)constructing an evaluation system for the integrated development of the cultural and tourism industry from the three perspectives of industrial foundation, factor input and industrial effect, which is more in line with the integrated development process of the cultural and tourism industry;(2)The research method was improved, and the development status of cultural tourism industry integration was comprehensively analyzed using Dagum’s Gini coefficient and Kernel density estimation, and the conclusions were more reasonable and objective;(3)Expanding the research perspective of technological innovation on the integrated development of cultural tourism industry, this paper deeply discusses the impact mechanism of technological innovation on the integrated development of cultural and tourism industry from the perspective of spatial spillover effect and consumer demand intermediary effect, which is conducive to playing a regional coordinating role in the process of integrated development of cultural tourism industry and promoting the deep integration of cultural tourism industry. |
