| The development of county economy plays an important role in the development of Chinese economy and society,and plays a decisive role in national economy.In recent years,Chinese scholars have carried out relatively more researches on county economy,which is helpful to accurately grasp the law of county economic development and provide corresponding theoretical basis for the sustainable development of county economy.Inner Mongolia’s economy is developing rapidly and its overall strength is constantly improving.While the county economy is developing rapidly,there are still many problems such as the imbalance of internal economic development.The difference of the comprehensive strength of county economy in different regions is becoming more and more prominent.Based on this,the study of the spatio-temporal evolution characteristics of the comprehensive competitiveness of Inner Mongolia county economy plays an important role in promoting the balanced development of Inner Mongolia county economy.Based on the previous experience,this paper uses panel data to select 13 indicators to construct the index system of comprehensive economic competitiveness of Inner Mongolia counties,and uses factor analysis method to rank the comprehensive economic competitiveness of 80 Inner Mongolia counties in 2000,2005,2010,2015 and2020.Using standard deviation ellipse and spatial autocorrelation analysis,this paper analyzes the spatio-temporal evolution of comprehensive competitiveness of county economy in eastern Inner Mongolia,central Inner Mongolia and western Inner Mongolia.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)The comprehensive competitiveness of Inner Mongolia county economy shows great changes.From 2000 to 2020,the overall ranking of comprehensive competitiveness of Inner Mongolia County economy shows a trend of weakening from strong in eastern Inner Mongolia,rapid strengthening in central Inner Mongolia,and continuous improvement in western Inner Mongolia.In 2000,the number of high-competitive counties in eastern Inner Mongolia was significantly more than that in central Inner Mongolia and western Inner Mongolia.From 2005 to 2020,the development level and strength of counties in various regions of Inner Mongolia were very different.The high-competitive counties were mainly distributed in central Inner Mongolia,and the county economy in western Inner Mongolia was stable.The number of highly competitive counties increased.(2)The spatial distribution of gravity center of comprehensive competitiveness of Inner Mongolia county economy changes greatly.In 2000,the gravity center was dominated by Xi Wuqin Banner in eastern Inner Mongolia,Siziwang Banner in central Inner Mongolia in 2005,Xianghuang Banner in eastern Inner Mongolia in 2010 and 2015.In 2020,in Chahar Right Center Banner of central region of Inner Mongolia,the overall pattern is northeast-to-southwest trend,and the center of gravity moves to central region of Inner Mongolia,indicating that the comprehensive competitiveness of county economy in Inner Mongolia changes obviously in time and space.(3)The spatial correlation analysis of the comprehensive competitiveness of the county economy shows that Moran’s I index of the comprehensive competitiveness of the county economy of Inner Mongolia shows a trend of fluctuation rising during 2000-2020,and the spatial correlation between the overall counties is gradually enhanced,indicating that the comprehensive competitiveness of the county economy of Inner Mongolia has an obvious spatial positive correlation.According to the local autocorrelation analysis,the eastern part of Inner Mongolia was a high-value cluster area before 2005,and the central part of Inner Mongolia became a high-value cluster area from 2005 to 2020 and expanded to the western part of Inner Mongolia.(4)According to the research results,the comprehensive competitiveness of county economy in central Inner Mongolia is much higher than that in eastern Inner Mongolia and western Inner Mongolia.The eastern region of Inner Mongolia mainly depends on the development of agriculture and animal husbandry.Relevant policy support should be implemented to extend the industrial chain of agriculture and animal husbandry,introduce modern technology and improve industrial efficiency.The central region of Inner Mongolia has developed rapidly and become the growth pole of the whole region by virtue of its superior location and energy reserve.Therefore,economic cooperation with eastern and western Inner Mongolia should be strengthened to promote the coordinated development of regional economy.The western region of Inner Mongolia is relatively weak in natural conditions,mainly energy industry,should vigorously promote the development of other industries.There are obvious differences in the development level of county economy in Inner Mongolia.In the future,while vigorously developing economy,we should constantly narrow the gap of county economy development in eastern Inner Mongolia,central Inner Mongolia and western Inner Mongolia,so as to promote the coordinated development of county economy in Inner Mongolia. |
