On the basis of the English Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools(2017),the English Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022)(hereinafter referred to as the New Curriculum Standards)puts forward new requirements and curriculum concepts for the design and implementation of the integration of “teaching,learning,and assessment” in English teaching,and deeply elaborates on the design and implementation of the integration of“teaching,learning,and assessment”,requiring teachers to establish the overall concept of “teaching,learning,and assessment” and focus on the analysis of the interrelationship of each teaching element in order to realize the unified teaching of objectives,activities,and assessment.According to the requirements of the New Curriculum Standards,the implementation of the integration of “teaching,learning,and assessment” has become the focus of teaching reform.How to improve teaching quality and implement core literacy through the design and implementation of the integration of “teaching,learning,and assessment” is a question that should be considered in the field of high school English education.However,the implementation of the integration of “teaching,learning,and assessment” in high school English teaching is not yet satisfactory.Consequently,this study focuses on the design and implementation of the integration of “teaching,learning,and assessment” under the New Curriculum Standards and poses the following research questions:1.What is the current situation of the integration of “teaching,learning and assessment” in high school English classroom under the New Curriculum Standards?2.What are the difficulties faced by high school English teachers in the implementation of the integration of “teaching,learning and assessment”?3.What are the strategies to design and implement of the integration of“teaching,learning and assessment” in high school English?Based on the research questions above,this paper adopts literature research method,questionnaire survey method,classroom observation method,interview method and statistical analysis method to analyze the current situation of integration of “teaching,learning,and assessment” in high school English classroom,the problems and difficulties in design and implementing integration of “teaching,learning,and assessment” in teaching,and the strategies and ways to realize the design and implementation of integration of “teaching,learning,and assessment”.The results of the study show that there are some problems and difficulties in the design and implementation of the integration of “teaching,learning,and assessment” in high school English classrooms.The main problems are as follows: Some English teachers fail to deeply understand the importance of designing and implementing integration of “teaching,learning,and assessment”;some English teachers fail to effectively design integration of “teaching,learning,and assessment”;some English teachers fail to fully implement integration of “teaching,learning,and assessment”.In summary,teachers are not giving thought to translating theory of integration of “teaching,learning,and assessment” into practice and have the fear of difficulty in designing and implementing the integration of “teaching,learning,and assessment”.In addition,this paper offers strategies from the aspects of the understanding,design and implementation of integration of “teaching,learning,and assessment”.Under the theoretical guidance of the strategies,the author selects the reading and thinking text of Unit 4,The Night the Earth Didn’t Sleep,from the Compulsory one of New Senior English for China Student’s Book(2019),and presents a specific teaching design sample,which provides a practical guide for teachers to implement the integration of “teaching,learning,and assessment” in the course. |
