In 2020 the Ministry of Education issued the National English Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools(2017 Edition Revised 2020),which clearly stipulates that teachers should handle the relationships between teaching,learning and assessment.With the development of the new curriculum reform,teaching-learning-assessment alignment,as an important way to achieve effective teaching,has became a hot topic for scholars to study.The integration of teaching-learning-assessment means that teachers should integrate assessment throughout the whole teaching process based on teaching objectives,giving full play to the continuous feedback function of assessment,so as to guide students to discover their learning potential and stimulate their initiative.In order to investigate the implementation status of teaching-learning-assessment alignment in current English classroom,the author observed and analyzed seven English lessons in Ning Xia ** middle school using the method of classroom observation,literature research and interview and based on the theoretical foundation of Modern Curriculum Theory,Bloom’s taxonomy of educational objectives,and Bloom’s mastery learning.From the perspective of teacher’s teaching design and classroom teaching,the author aims to answer the following questions:(1)What’s the current situation of teaching-learning-assessment integration in senior high school?(2)What’s the overall situation of teaching-learning-assessment alignment in teaching design?(3)What’s the consistency between teaching objectives,teaching assessment and teaching activities? By using the methods of classroom observation,interview and literature research,this paper analyzed the classroom observation scales to find out the difficulties in the implementation of teaching-learning-assessment integration in senior high school English classrooms,and puts forward corresponding suggestions for improvement.The results show that the current English teachers have low awareness of assessment and lack of assessment methods.The consistency between teaching-learning-assessment is not high.Teaching assessment design is not sufficient in teaching design.To solve the above problems,this study puts forward some specific suggestions: schools should strength the training of teachers,improve the teaching design of teaching-learning-assessment integration.The key of teaching-learning-assessment integration lies in implementation.Teachers should dare to try new teaching design and adjust teaching according to students’ situation and environmental factors.Teachers should actively adapt to the teaching reform,deepen the theoretical basis,learn the new curriculum standards,and promote the professional development of teachers.Pay attention to the growth and development of students,give full play to the effect of assessment on teaching,evaluate the progress and growth of students. |
