| (?)ric Rohmer is a famous French film director who plays a pivotal role in the "New Wave" film movement.After the death of André Bazin,he succeeded as the chief editor of the Film Manual,and started the film practice in 1959’s The Sign of Leo.(in the Sign of Leo in 1959)His films have unique personal characteristics and show a distinctive minimalist aesthetic style.On the one hand,he inherited Bazan’s realistic film view,developed it into a unique pursuit of "morality" in film practice,and took human psychological reality as his alaysis object.On the other hand,he followed many technical means of "New Wave" to reproduce reality,insisted on medium and small cost production throughout his life,and aesthetic means such as long lens,natural light,synchronous recording technology were well used in his film creation.In addition,Hou Mai deeply explored the function of character dialogue,making it an important means of expressing ideas in his film works,and also expanding the depth of film expression.This paper focuses on the minimalist aesthetic style and makes a systematic study of (?)ric Rohmer.In the first chapter,this paper expounds the minimalist style of films,and defines that the films of (?)ric Rohmer can be included in this style.In the second chapter,this paper analyzes the form of minimalism in (?)ric Rohmer’s films,and discusses it from three aspects: shooting method,audio-visual language and the minimalist expression of audio-visual language.In the third chapter,this paper analyzes the narrative strategy of (?)ric Rohmer’s film minimalism,and demonstrates the aesthetic expression of minimalism in the narrative strategy from three aspects:character image,narrative mode,and constant theme.In the fourth chapter,this paper summarizes the causes of (?)ric Rohmer’s (?)ric Rohmer minimalist style,and tries to clarify the reasons for his preference for minimalist style through his personal character and ideological nutrients in philosophy,literature and film. |
