Chinese-American picture books have cross-cultural characteristics.The characteristics of cross-culture are manifested in two aspects.One is cultural identity,which is based on the premise of recognizing differences.Differences and commonality coexist between different cultures.Chinese American picture books span different countries and different nationalities,exchange,learn from and integrate each other in two different cultures of China and the United States,and have been recognized at home and abroad,which is the expression of cross-cultural cultural identity.Second,it is nationalization,American Chinese picture book writers to create new artistic way of thinking,artistic techniques to show the ethnic unique style,such as Chinese American picture book writer using the western art form of traditional Chinese folk stories,show a unique style,their work is eastern and western culture refined,this is a cross-cultural performance on the nationalization.Since the 20 th century,picture books have been introduced into China in large numbers,and Chinese American picture books have attracted attention from all walks of life.Through the Chinese American picture books,we can learn that the Chinese American will display the traditional Chinese folk stories,festival customs,paper cutting,ink painting and other traditional Chinese cultural elements,which is deeply loved by readers.The unique value of Chinese American picture books and the traditional Chinese cultural elements presented also provide rich teaching resources for international Chinese education.As a special form of presenting presentation,Chinese American picture books applied to international Chinese teaching is conducive to enriching the curriculum resources of Chinese learners,improving Chinese learners ’listening,speaking,reading and writing ability,and facilitating Chinese learners’ understanding and memory of Chinese cultural knowledge.From the perspective of international Chinese teaching,this paper selects the elements of Chinese American picture books with Chinese cultural characteristics,such as the Chinese traditional folk stories,festival customs,paper cutting and ink painting art forms used in image expression.As an important part of Chinese culture,these elements are a window for international students to understand the culture,and play an important role in the primary,intermediate and advanced stages of learning Chinese.At the same time,international Chinese teachers can also supplement Chinese cultural resources in various aspects on the basis of Chinese American picture book teaching,so that international students can have a comprehensive understanding of Chinese culture,and only by integrating cultural factors into international Chinese teaching can they achieve better teaching results,and then promote the faster and better development of international Chinese education in China.
