As a near-neighborhood that is across the sea,China and Korean Peninsula have been very close to the official level and civilian level since ancient times.After Kublai Khan’s inheritance,the two countries ended the long-term confrontation,established the suzerain vassal relationship,and entered a stage of peaceful exchanges.In this context,frequent political,economic and cultural exchanges have begun between the two countries.The official exchanges between the Yuan Dynasty and Goryeo were mainly marriage and hunting customs in the Yuan Dynasty.In the century-old marriage relationship between the two countries,a total of 9 princesses in the Yuan Dynasty married Goryeo royal family,and Emperor Yuanshun married the Goryeo woman Qi Shi as the queen.King Goryeo’s life experience in the Yuan Dynasty,the lives of the Yuan Dynasty princesses and his followers in Goryeo’s life,and the establishment of Yingfang in the Yuan Dynasty in Goryeo,all promoted the development of eagle hunting customs in Goryeo.The marriage between the Yuan Dynasty and Goryeo made the Goryeo royal family gradually Mongolian,and the marriage has also greatly promoted the material and cultural exchanges between the two countries,which is manifested in many aspects such as books,calendar,medicine,etiquette culture,music and dance.There are frequent exchanges between the Yuan Dynasty literati and Goryeo literati.Goryeo literati such as Li Chengxiu,Li Qixian and Li Gu have entered the Yuan.There were extensive poetic exchanges with literati in the Yuan Dynasty,especially Li Chengxiu and Hou Youxian,Li Qixian,Zhao Mengfu,Yuan Mingshan and others.There are 31 Korean monks entering the Yuan.They have religious exchanges and have poetry communication with literati in the Yuan Dynasty,for example,literati of the Yuan Dynasty,such as Xu Youren,Xie Duan,and Fu Ruojin,all wrote poems to the Korean monk Shi Wuwai.Chen lv and Wu Shidao’s poems also mentioned Shi Wuwai.The literati interaction has promoted the influence of the Yuan Dynasty on Goryeo literature,and also promoted Zhu Zixue to the spread of Goryeo.The exchange between the Yuan Dynasty and Goryeo was a communication between the three cultures of traditional Chinese culture,grassland culture and Goryeo culture.It has both collisions and integration,showing a certain uniqueness.Having a political strong culture will occupy certain advantages,such as the impact of grassland culture represented by Mongolian aristocratic people on Goryeo,but the culture of political weakness will also play its own role and spread to the political strength side.The popular Goryeo language,music,and clothing in the late Yuan court are proof of this.These phenomena are of inspiration to the external communication of Chinese culture.
