| The English Curriculum Standards for Senior High School(2020 edition,Hereinafter refers to as the new curriculum standards)advocates a three-dimensional dynamic grammar view of “form-meaning-use” oriented by language use.At the same time,the curriculum standards points out that the exploration of theme meaning should be regarded as the core task of English teaching and learning.As a part of English teaching,English grammar teaching should also explore the theme meaning.However,many teachers do not integrate the grammar teaching idea of the curriculum standards into daily grammar teaching.In order to solve this problem,this paper attempts to apply the three-dimensional grammar theory to the English grammar teaching in senior high school.Based on the constructivism theory,the study proposes the new grammar teaching mode.The theme meaning is the main line in the process of applying the grammar teaching mode to grammar teaching,that is,the teaching of each grammar item is led by the theme meaning of each unit,and the students are guided to perceive,discover,summarize,practice and use target grammar by various modal texts under the same theme.Guided by the thematic meaning of the unit,students learn and internalize the form,meaning,and use of grammar through a series of activities.At the same time,the research adopted the research methods of questionnaire,test and interview,and mainly solved the following questions: 1.How is the three-dimensional grammar theory applied to English grammar teaching in senior high school? 2.What is the influence of teaching English grammar based on the three-dimensional grammar theory on students’ grammatical competence in senior high school? 3.What is the influence of teaching English grammar based on three-dimensional grammar theory on students’ attitudes towards grammar learning? In the study,two parallel classes in a senior school in Ganzhou city were randomly selected,of which class 11 is the experimental class and class 12 is the control class.Then the pre-questionnaire and pre-test were conducted in the two classes;The experimental class used the new grammar teaching mode based on the three-dimensional grammar theory and the control class used traditional grammar teaching method;after the experiment,the post-test was conducted in the two classes.And in the experimental class,the post-questionnaire and interview were also carried on.The collected data were analyzed by using SPSS23.0.The English grammar teaching mode--“seven links,four stages and two evaluations” has been constructed and applied to the teaching practice of English grammar in senior high school.The main findings of the study are as follows: the grammar teaching based on the three dimensional grammar theory could effectively improve students’ grammar competence than the traditional grammar teaching and students’ ability to apply grammar in context has been improved;the method changed students’ attitudes towards grammar learning.They felt more interested and confident in the learning of English grammar.With the publishing of the new curriculum standards and the reform of the College Entrance Exam,the study applied the three-dimensional grammar theory to grammar teaching in senior high school,which enables students to improve the efficiency of their grammar learning and grammar application ability under the guidance of thematic meaning.However,this study also has limitations,such as insufficient sample size and short study time.It is hoped that future research can make up for the shortcomings of this study. |
