Grammar teaching has always been the focus of English teaching.Larsen-Freeman abandons the traditional narrow cognition of the single form-dimension and puts forward the “three-dimensional grammar theory”.She believes that language has three dimensions: form,meaning,and use.Many scholars have done a lot of research on this theory and the results show that three-dimensional grammar theory can significantly improve the effect of grammar learning.At the same time,many scholars study grammar teaching from the perspective of teaching environment.As an emerging intelligent teaching tool,Rain Classroom has increasingly been used in grammar teaching and has achieved good results.Although it is common in the academic circle to discuss the three-dimensional grammar theory and Rain Classroom teaching environment in isolation,few studies have combined the two to verify their actual effect in grammar teaching.This thesis attempts to construct the three-dimensional grammar teaching mode under “Rain Classroom” environment.Based on the three-dimensional grammar theory,the mode focuses on the interaction between teachers and students,emphasizes the initiative and autonomy of learners in the learning process,and combines online with offline.This study aims to apply this teaching mode to senior high school English grammar teaching,to examine its actual effect in teaching,and to understand its impact on students’ learning interests.The specific research questions are as follows:(1)Can the three-dimensional grammar teaching mode under Rain Classroom environment help to improve the effect of students’ grammar learning?(2)Can the three-dimensional grammar teaching mode under Rain Classroom environment enhance students’ interest in learning grammar?In order to answer the above research questions,the research adopts an experimental research method.A total of 101 students in two classes of a senior high school in a certain city are selected as the research subjects.Class 1 is selected as the control class,and Class 2 is the experimental class.The period of the teaching experiment is 11 weeks.During the experiment,the experimental class adopts the three-dimensional grammar teaching mode under Rain Classroom environment,while the control class adopts the traditional grammar teaching mode.The author takes the first weekly grammar test as the pre-test score,and after the experiment,the post-test is conducted respectively in the two classes.In addition,in order to understand the effects of students’ grammar learning and the changes in interest,the author selects 15 students of different grammar levels in the experimental class to conduct interviews before and after the experiment,and conducts a questionnaire survey in the experimental class after the experiment.Based on the SPSS20.0,the author analyzes the pre-test and post-test grammar scores and the questionnaire,and combines interviews to draw the following conclusions:(1)From the results of grammar tests,there is a significant difference in the post-test grammar scores between the experimental class and the control class.This shows that,compared with the traditional grammar teaching mode,the three-dimensional grammar teaching mode under Rain Classroom environment has a more significant effect on the improvement of students’ grammar performance,that is to say,this mode can effectively improve students’ grammar performance and grammar learning effect.(2)From the results of the questionnaire survey,the grammar teaching illuminated by the three-dimensional grammar teaching mode under Rain Classroom environment can help students understand basic grammar skills,enable students to actively participate in the classroom,so as to stimulate students’ enthusiasm and interest in learning English grammar.(3)From the results of the interviews before and after the experiment,most students lack interest in grammar learning,but still maintain a positive attitude towards grammar learning before the experiment.After the experiment,the students’ enthusiasm for learning grammar has improved significantly.Through the comparison of students’ attitudes towards English grammar learning before and after the interview,it is evident that the three-dimensional grammar teaching mode under Rain Classroom environment can enhance students’ interest in learning grammar.In a word,based on the above research combining quantitative and qualitative study,it can be concluded that the three-dimensional grammar teaching mode under Rain Classroom environment can help improve the effect of students’ grammar learning and increase their interest in grammar learning.In short,the results of this study further verify the effectiveness of the teaching mode,indicating that the three-dimensional grammar teaching mode under Rain Classroom environment can effectively improve the interest of students and the effect in learning English grammar,thus providing a reference for English grammar teaching,and lay a solid foundation for the students’ grammar learning in the future.
