"Zuo Zhuan" is one of the three biographies of "Spring and Autumn",famous for its narration and dual nature of classics and history, occupying a unique position in the history of classics and historiography. The study of "Zuo Zhuan" was the focus of scholars’ attention after the Han Dynasty. The Han Dynasty was the beginning of the study of "Zuo Zhuan",while the study of "Zuo Zhuan" in the Eastern Han Dynasty was a relatively prosperous period in the Han Dynasty. There were many scholars and works of "Zuo Zhuan",which was a stage that cannot be ignored in the study of "Zuo Zhuan".However, there are still some aspects that can be explored in the academic circles today, such as the academic inheritance of the Eastern Han Dynasty’s "Zuo Zhuan",the academic characteristics of the Eastern Han Dynasty’s "Zuo Zhuan",and the inheritance and development of the "Han Shu" to the "Zuo Zhuan".This article is divided into three chapters to study the study of Zuo Zhuan in the Eastern Han Dynasty. The first chapter discusses the origin and geography of the study of "Zuo Zhuan" in the Eastern Han Dynasty by sorting out the inheritance and spatial distribution of scholars in "Zuo Zhuan" In the Eastern Han Dynasty, there were many scholars in Zuo Zhuan who had made great achievements, most of whom were inherited from family studies. The source and flow of teaching and receiving were complex, and the branches were complex, making it difficult to clarify.Scholars of "Zuo Zhuan" in the Eastern Han Dynasty concentrated in places such as Sili and Yuzhou, and the focus of "Zuo Zhuan" changed from the Guanzhong region in the Western Han Dynasty to the Central Plains region in the Eastern Han Dynasty.Such changes are influenced by factors such as the political system of immigrants from Lingyi, the importance of education and culture, the inheritance of family education, and the migration of population to study tours. The second chapter proposes and demonstrates the uniqueness of the study of "Zuo Zhuan" in the Eastern Han Dynasty against the background of competing with the studies of "Gongyang" and "Guliang"."Gongyang Biography" and "Guliang Biography" were successively established as academic officials due to their own theories and the political situation at that time.Although "Zuo Zhuan" contended for the establishment of academic officials twice and was abolished,it flourished after the dispute between the classics and ancient texts.Firstly, the private teaching method was the dominant form of dissemination of the study of "Zuo Zhuan";Secondly,"Zuo Zhuan" academic works cited the remaining two biographies in many places;Once again,"Zuo Zhuan" academic works often cite other books and predecessors’ theories; Finally, the divination of "Zuo Zhuan" is obvious. The study of "Zuo Zhuan" has made continuous progress and spread through private teaching methods such as official learning, travel learning, and family learning, forming a unique study of "Zuo Zhuan" in the Eastern Han Dynasty. The third chapter affirms that the thought and style of "Zuo Zhuan" have been borrowed and developed by "Han Shu".Ideologically,"Zuo Zhuan" is more recorded and respectful than "Han Shu".In terms of style, the twelve official forms of "Zuo Zhuan" have a decisive effect on the twelve basic disciplines of "Han Shu";"Zuo Zhuan" and "Han Shu" are both dynastic histories, but they have a general historical spirit; The form of praise has developed from the "gentleman’s saying" in "Zuo Zhuan" to the "praise saying" in "Han Shu".
