Affluence is the eternal pursuit goal of human beings, expressing human being’s yearning and pursuit of a better life.Common prosperity,as one of the important features of Chinese-style modernization,is related to the production and distribution of social wealth.Compared with production, distribution directly affects everyone’s vital interests. Therefore, whether the distribution is fair becomes the focus of people. From an ethical point of view, distributive justice is an important ethical principle for achieving common prosperity, and the realization of common prosperity needs to pay more attention to the realization of distributive justice.Marx devoted all his life to the realization of human freedom and emancipation, and this goal also included the pursuit of common prosperity.Facing the current situation of capitalism,Marx’s opinion is different from Utopian socialism.By analyzing the internal logic of capitalism, not only did Marx point out that distribution mode of capitalism is unjust, but also came to the further conclusion that“Capitalism and common prosperity are fundamentally opposite.” Although Marx did not explicitly put forward the concept of "common prosperity",he envisaged achieving common prosperity through the implementation of distribution according to work and distribution according to needs in the process of drawing the great blueprint of the future communist society. At present,China is in the historical stage of realizing the second centenary goal, which also includes the unremitting pursuit of common prosperity. In the background of this era, studying the issue of common prosperity from the perspective of Marx’s distributive justice is not only a great affirmation of the contemporary value of Marx’s thought on common prosperity, but also has important reference and referential significance for further narrowing the gap between the rich and the poor in China and realizing common prosperity in the new era.
