| Under the background of “peak carbon dioxide emission and carbon neutrality”,all countries in the world are vigorously developing photovoltaic power generation,promoting energy revolution and new energy system construction.Using solar energy for photovoltaic power generation conforms to the policy of low carbon,environmental protection and sustainable development.An accurate and standardized Chinese translation of optical chopper can help domestic enterprises learn foreign advanced technology and improve research ability and conversion efficiency of solar cells,which is of great significance for the development of photovoltaic power generation.This text type of this translation practice belongs to English of Science and Technology(EST).The Skopos Theory is the guiding theory of this practice report.This report includes the following parts: task description and research significance,an overview of Skopos Theory,translation procedures,difficulties encountered during the translation process and solutions,major findings and limitations.Under the guidance of Skopos Theory,the author analyzes language features from lexical,syntactical and textual level by combining with typical cases,identifies difficult points encountered in translation practice and puts forward useful translation methods suitable for EST texts in the field of optics,such as conversion of part of speech,adding category words,etc.,in order to achieve the intended communicative function of the translation.The author hopes to accumulate translation experience and improve translation skills through this translation practice.It is also hoped that summarized translation methods can provide a reference for E-C translation of optical English materials. |
