| As a new educational concept of teaching in the new era,“Curriculum Ideological and Political Education” refers to the implementation of moral teaching in all kinds of courses other than in the ideological and political theory courses,and implicitly valueleading while teaching knowledge and skills.This is in line with the concept of “foresting virtue through education” as fundamental task.The English Curriculum Standards for General High Schools(2017 Edition,revised in 2020)points out that the essence of the English curriculum in high schools is to educate people,and the fostering of key competencies of English subject,which is the goal of the English curriculum,also provides an important approach and a key platform for the English subject to implement the fundamental task of foresting virtue.The nature of the integration of instrumentality and humanism also gives the English curriculum in high schools special significance in educating people.Therefore,to integrate “Curriculum Ideological and Political Education”into senior high school English teaching has become the trend of education reform in the new era.In order to better integrate“Curriculum Ideological and Political Education” into senior high school English teaching and play the nurturing function of the English curriculum,this study focuses on the following two questions:(1)What is the current situation of the implementation of“Curriculum Ideological and Political Education” into senior high school English teaching?(2)How to further promote the implementation of“Curriculum Ideological and Political Education” into senior high school English teaching?In order to answer the above two questions,this study is based on Marx’s theory of all-round development of human beings and the theory of Key Competences,and uses literature research,questionnaires,classroom observations and interviews to explore the current situation of the implementation of“Curriculum Ideological and Political Education”in senior high school English teaching from both theoretical and practical perspectives,and try to propose some suggestions based on current situation.The study found that,from the theoretical level,English teachers have some awareness of “Curriculum Ideological and Political Education”,but should pay more attention on it.At the level of implementation,the study found that English teachers have started to implement it in senior high school English teaching,but a systematic teaching system of it has not yet been formed.In addition,due to the teachers’ lack of attention to“Curriculum Ideological and Political Education”,their attention to the objectives is not comprehensive,the elements are not fully explored,and the methods are not innovative.Finally,based on the analysis of the problems and reasons for the implementation of“ Curriculum Ideological and Political Education” in English teaching,teachers are suggested to improve their awareness and professionalism of “Curriculum Ideological and Political Education”,strengthen their teaching ability and teaching level of“Curriculum Ideological and Political Education”,update the concept of course evaluation,and improve evaluation system of“Curriculum Ideological and Political Education”. |
