Chinese villages.China is a large agricultural country,and the countryside is both the source of Chinese civilization and the base of society.With the acceleration of urbanization,rural documentaries are also developing at a rapid pace,going through an exploratory period and a mature period.After entering the new era,some rural documentaries are still affected by the aesthetic experience of the old era and the western perspective of others,and their aesthetic expression is contrary to the real new era and new countryside.In order to solve the existing problems of aesthetic expression and re-balance the artistry and authenticity of aesthetic expression,the new era rural documentaries bear social responsibilities to some extent.Starting from the definition of rural theme documentaries in the new era,this thesis summarizes the characteristics of rural theme documentaries in different periods,analyzes the aesthetic expression of rural theme documentaries in the new era and explores the aesthetic misunderstanding of rural theme documentaries in the new era by analyzing the artistic works of rural theme documentaries in different periods.In order to explore the new era of rural documentaries in the aesthetic expression of effective suggestions.In this thesis,field investigation method,comparative analysis method,case analysis method and literature research method are adopted to study aesthetic expression on the basis of a large number of analysis and research of rural documentaries in the new era.This thesis is divided into six chapters to study the aesthetic expression of rural documentaries in the new era.The first chapter is the research of "historical development,theoretical origin and aesthetic value" of rural documentaries in the new era.It is divided into three sections,which are "Historical development of rural documentaries in the New era","Relevant theories of rural documentaries in the New era" and "aesthetic value analysis".Combining rural documentaries since the new era with aesthetic image theory,local knowledge theory,aesthetic expression theory,etc.,This thesis discusses the development and aesthetic value of rural documentaries in the new era from two aspects of the development of The Times and policy support.The second chapter studies the "misunderstanding of aesthetic expression" of rural documentaries in the new era.It is
