| With its content that is relevant to the lives of the general public and its objective and realistic form of recording, documentaries are constantly expanding the aesthetic boundaries of film and television art.The core topic of documentaries is the concern for human beings, the essential power of human beings and their state of existence, and the way they live. The human being is the core of documentary creation, and the recording of human existence and the search for the essence of human existence is the eternal theme of documentary. The public service documentary is a new genre of documentary that has emerged in response to the needs of society and the aspirations of the community, and is constantly enriched with the humanistic concern and mission of insight into social issues.Throughout the creation of public service documentaries, most of the creators tend to focus on social values and the creation of the film itself, but less on the expression of the humanistic spirit in the film.Humanism is a prerequisite for the creation of public service documentaries, and it is important for the transmission of the concept of public service in public service documentaries, whether in the pre-selection of topics,mid-production or post-editing.This thesis focuses on the humanistic spirit in public service documentaries, which is of theoretical value and research significance,as it can meet the cultural shift of documentaries in the present era and expand the development space of documentaries. This thesis focuses on the excavation and expression strategies of humanism in public service documentaries.Based on a large amount of domestic and international literature, the author uses art psychology, film sociology, journalism and philosophy as the main theoretical basis, and excellent domestic public service documentaries as reference examples. At the same time, the author combines his graduation work with a practical perspective to explain the importance of humanistic expression in public service documentaries and the specific methods of creation. This thesis is divided into four main chapters,as follows:The first chapter is devoted to the basic definition and overview of public service documentaries and humanism.Firstly, this thesis analyses the development trend and realistic needs of public interest in recent years, further explaining the relevance of public interest documentaries to public interest, combining the historical development trend of public interest documentaries in recent years, and then explaining the basic characteristics of public interest documentaries;at the same time,it defines the concept of humanism, analyses the development history of humanism, and makes sufficient preparation for the study of public interest documentaries in China;secondly,it discusses the ethical level of Secondly, the relevance of public service documentaries to humanism is discussed from an ethical perspective, laying a theoretical foundation for the exploration and expression of humanism in public service documentaries. Finally, the theories of hierarchy of needs, standpoint theory and emotion theory are systematically discussed from the perspectives of psychology, communication and philosophy to provide theoretical support for the study of this topic. The second chapter explores the humanistic spirit in public service documentaries by exploring both the subject matter and the values. This chapter analyses the specific creative elements in public service documentaries and presents the broad connotation of humanism in public service documentaries in multiple dimensions, supported by the theory of needs in humanistic psychology.Firstly,in terms of material selection,we have explored public interest subjects that can reflect the humanistic connotation of public interest documentaries, such as marginalised groups, public interest figures and public issues, which match the physiological needs, respect needs and cognitive needs at each stage of the hierarchy of needs theory, providing the conditions for the expression of the humanistic spirit in public interest documentaries.Secondly,in the existential sense,it has deeply explored the multiple values conveyed by public service documentaries, such as humanistic values, social values and public welfare values. This has enriched the profound connotation of humanism in documentaries, and provided a path for public service documentaries to maximise the expression of humanism. The third chapter focuses on the factors that influence the expression of humanism in public service documentaries from the creative level.Firstly,it takes the basic creation mode of documentary films as a reference, and summarises the diverse creation concepts of public service documentaries in the context of specific documentary cases, and discovers and explains the different effects of different creation modes on the presentation of humanism in public service documentaries.Secondly,it analyses the necessary conditions for the presentation of humanism in public service documentaries in terms of narrative style, such as a civilian perspective,a diversified narrative structure and a storytelling approach, providing concrete creative ideas for the expression of humanism in public service documentaries.Again, with the support of Deleuze’s "emotion-image" theory,we analyse the impact of specific audiovisual elements on the expression of emotion from the audiovisual perspective, providing concrete guidance for the effective expression of the humanistic spirit. From the perspective of audiovisual art,the impact of audiovisual elements on the expression of humanism in public service documentaries is analysed.Lastly, the creative filming techniques used by the creators of public service documentaries in the process of expressing the humanistic spirit are explained from a practical perspective, with a view to providing methodological guidance for the in-depth expression of the humanistic spirit. The fourth chapter answers the question of how to further highlight humanism in future public service documentaries.Taking into account the current context and the current situation of the creative body, and taking the current problems of documentary development as a warning,it prospectively collates the real-life problems encountered in the process of presenting humanism in future public service documentaries, and proposes a new way forward for the development of future public service documentaries. From the perspective of the creator’s stance, consumer culture and the future film and television communication environment, the thesis proposes measures to bridge the gap between the creator’s stance and the connotation of humanism, break the shackles of consumer culture on the expression of humanism, and innovate the concept of humanism communication in public service documentaries, providing comprehensive creative ideas for the future development of public service documentaries. This article takes public service documentaries as the object of study, humanism as the core of research, and studies humanism in public service documentaries from the perspectives of artistic creation and aesthetic acceptance.Based on excellent academic research examples and documentary images,it provides a theoretical basis for the excavation and expression of humanism in public service documentaries. It also aims to provide new ideas for the development and dissemination of public service documentaries through the elaboration of the above four chapters. |
