Emotional Expression Research Of Documentary About The Elderly

China is the country with the largest aging population and the fastest aging rate.Aging has brought severe challenges to economic and social development.The Fifth Plenary Session of the 19 th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China proposed "Implementing the National Strategy to Actively Respond to Population Aging".The media plays an important role in disseminating policies that proactively address ageing.Documentaries on the theme of the elderly not only allow the audience to re-examine their own lives and find the meaning of life,but also allow the society to understand the elderly in a more comprehensive and profound way.However,the development of such documentaries has been relatively slow,and lacks of attention to the spiritual needs of the elderly.Therefore,the study of documentaries about the elderly has important social value for actively coping with aging.This paper will examine the emotional expression of elderly documentaries in three parts.In the introduction,the necessity of this topic is demonstrated through the research background,research purpose and research status at home and abroad.The first chapter of the body part explores the emotional characteristics of older adults and the perspectives on which emotions are constructed in the documentary.The second chapter analyzes the value of narrative to emotional expression from the narrative angle of documentary.The third chapter discusses the specific strategies of emotional expression in documentaries about the elderly from the perspective of video art.The fourth chapter discusses the dilemma of the documentary creation of this subject.In the fifth chapter of the thesis,corresponding suggestions are put forward for these problems.The sixth chapter combines the above research on the emotional expression in the documentary about the elderly,analyzes the emotional expression strategy in the graduation work Old and Happy,and demonstrates the emotional value contained in the work.The conclusion part summarizes the research core of this paper,reviews the creative process of the graduation project,and summarizes the deficiencies in the creation.Story-based narrative skills,diverse narrative perspectives and diverse narrative structures clearly present the emotional context of the elderly.Imaginative visual language,expressive auditory language,relaxed rhythm build the connotative beauty of the documentary.Therefore,focusing on the emotional expression of images in documentaries about the elderly can enhance the humanistic care for the elderly and find a new path for the society to actively age.
